Picked up & towed my new Scamp 13 ft trailer!

Had a Uhaul 13 ft fiberglass trail back in the day . Had it for about 15 years . great camper . towed with 4 cylinder Toyota pick up and than a 6 cylinder Toyota p-up . enjoy you camper .

It looks like you could even go an inch or two lower on the hitch to level it out a little more since it’s not causing your truck to squat any.

I tow a 16 ft Scamp Deluxe with a 4k tow package. With my 22 Maverick, I towed the Scamp level. I did have some sway in 20-30 mph crosswinds. With my 25 Maverick, I towed my Scamp .75 inch above level. I did not have any sway with crosswinds on my trip last month. I have decided to leave to leave it at .75 inch level. I am not sure why it tows better with way...

Yup picked up the Scamp, towed like a dream the 30 miles home, have the Lariat 4k package that pro tow is spot on!

Yep even my hybrid tows close to my 2,000lb max with my travel trailer easily. Even going up hills I dont hit 50% power.

Load it all up and decide if you need a different drop. Not a big deal, but having been around Airstreams, I like seeing things level.

Do you find the shower/toilet combo useful or do you not bother with the shower? I would imagine it would work great for rinsing off but not for a full shower.

Had rpod with wet bath /shower . Used all the time when boon docking or staying at nation park or national forest campground with out showers . just had dedicated towel to dry before bed time . 30 gallon freshwater on rpod but still used sparingly . Had 5 gallon separate water container to replenish water as needed . also had honda 2000 generator ( used sparingly )for keeping battery charged every couple of days .

I have a Scamp 13' as well. It seemed like one of the only trailers I could pull with a hybrid Mav. BTW, the first year I took it on a trip where I needed to also bring a generator and other supplies and I did this whole big weight calculation to be just under GVWR/GCWR. I found that my Mav didn't struggle at all, so just know that you can definitely go over by hundreds of pounds and do fine. I don't even use the special Tow mode when towing.

FYI - to run the air conditioner on a generator you definitely need something stronger than a 2000 watt generator. I have a Predator 5000 watt dual fuel generator from Harbor Freight.

not sure where you're getting your information, but when I had a 28" fifth wheel, I had no problems or issues with running my A/C off a honda 2000W generator
