Poor little men. It’s called being jealous. Had a Smart car from when I lived in Manhattan… for years never a single dig. Shipped it out to CO and people (men) just can’t keep their mouths shut about it.

That was in response to someone asking about a EB. My AWD hybrid gets over 40 on my daily commute.I have to believe a hybrid gets a little more than 18 mpg in city driving.
All cases are different. I do not use my F250 for work…so it stays shiny and clean. BUT…. I do pull my 7000 pound boat and UTV and trailer with it. And the occasional rented Travel Trailer. My baby Mav just can’t do that. I’m no work truck guy, but I’m no bro dozer either.I think some members of "the real truck club" actually get angry and jealous that the Maverick can do a lot of what they use their truck for. Its an unwelcome challenge to their manhood, I guess. I like big trucks, I just dont need or want to pay for one. A normal "big" truck owner can understand that if they actually use it for work. The ones that dont on the other hand are so obsessed with what they *could* do with it that they cant comprehend buying less.
Exasperate and incite might be pushing the big word threshold for some of us...just sayin'. ;-)...Also, I use small words that the average person would understand so as not to exasperate or incite.
But you clearly have a need for a truck of that size with toys to pull, so theres no need to justify yourself. That counts as work in my book. If I owned anything I had to tow, I probably wouldn't have picked the mav. Especially not the Tremor which is just about worthless for towingAll cases are different. Yeah, I hear you. I’m not justifying myself. I’m just kind of explaining the different scenarios that a lot of people have. Honestly, I bought Mav XLT hybrid just to take places where my F250 wouldn’t get broken into or stolen. Two break-ins and one complete steal (I recovered the truck in less than an hour using the Ford Pass app. Showed the police right where it stopped) on my 2022 F250. I was getting tired of it. Yeah…. it’s that bad in Central and South Texas. If you remember the movie Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze, my Maverick is my Patrick Swayze mobile. Crazy thing is….I just LOVE driving the Maverick. It is so smooth and it’s saving me so much money in gas…. or diesel I should say.But you clearly have a need for a truck of that size with toys to pull, so theres no need to justify yourself. Yeah I totally gotcha. I figured people who get use out of a bigger truck probably aren't going to act disrespectful to a Mav owner since they know the pain of filling it upYeah, I hear you. There's nothing wrong with loving and getting attached to a car. There is something wrong with being a dick like the guy was to our maverick friend.I feel so badly for people whose cars are an extension of themselves.
Screams "I really haven't accomplished much."
