Okay.
I'm guessing you have reasons to do so. I think you should do what makes you happy. I had a 2014 F150 and loved it. Sold it in 2023 and got a Silverado. I liked the look of the Chevy, it was not as comfortable even on errand trips. harder to get in and out of. Plus having retired and no longer putting over 100 miles a day on a truck I decided to down size. If I was in need of a full size I would ONLY look at F150s.

🫤 Someone is going ask.
How come?
I really just prefer the F150. I wanted to get the Maverick when they first announced they were going to be building them. It took a while to get it. I’ve had it almost 2 years and it’s time to move on. The F150 fits me better.

Same. F-150 would be my choice. There was a Lariat with a lot of goodies going for around 41k with 30k on the dash around me, but I skipped on it. Looked nice for the money.

I went from a 2018 F150 that I had for 6 years to the Maverick. I usually keep vehicles about 3 years. I really liked the F150. It’s the longest I’ve kept a vehicle. So I’m going back.

I’m thinking of selling my 2024 XLT Lux. Plus, I have about $3,000 in add ons.

Not to offend but personalizing a vehicle does not increase it's value usually and often makes it harder to sell if someone doesn't like your add ons. It's a good looking truck, wish you luck in selling. Why are you thinking of selling it?

And even if you find someone that wants your add-ons, you might recover 20% of what you paid. Even if you replaced the tires 10 minutes before you sold it, you might get 50% of what the tires cost you.

Only exception I've seen are highly-specialized vehicles, such as fully-built prerunners or chase trucks or race vehicles. And even then, it seems like you either have buyers lined up out the door or it just sits there for months or years waiting for someone beyond a "Wish I had the money" type.

I still occasionally think about when I bought one of my past F-150s. I met the seller at the bank, he got his money, bank got the title, he gave me the keys, we shook hands, I walked over to my new-to-me F-150, and promptly ripped the bug guard and window deflectors off, threw them in the trash can outside the bank, got in the truck, and drove off.

In hindsight I probably should've had the decency to at least do that at home, but I really hate the obstructed view of the window deflectors. I also parked near a pine tree at the time, so bug guards were a no-go because they collect pine needles.

Might as well get what you want then if you can afford it. I've had like...at least half a dozen F-150s. Only other full-size half-ton I considered is the Nissan Titan, and that was mostly from a cost-for-features angle.

The Nissan Frontier is a good midsized option. The reason, a V6 cyl with no plastic turbo or cutecy engine designs, a regular trans and rear wheel drive. All very simple designs without software fly by wire stuff. The last of this type that you could rely on simplicity. Boy, the new 1/2 ton Chevy with a 3 cylinder motor that cuts out to 2. I believe Ram is going back to the straight 6, another simple reliable design. ICE motors are being pushed way beyond what they can achieve.
