Ford should move manufacturing back into the 48 states and hammer production like we did when we built B-17’s and P51’s
So you want the US Army to buy all the Mavericks, raise taxes to pay for it, then sell them used for cheap when they make too many of them. Got it. ;)

Not exactly on topic, but Ford has been advertising their big sale event on local TV.
Interesting to note when they show the Ford line up....there's no Maverick in the picture.
Why is this?
Speculation: They can't get enough of them to sell - supply and demand?
The advertising in Canada has been putting the Maverick in the forefront of their lineup.

Most of the recalls I have seen on Ford's are software related. If those are he result of employees, then terminate and rehire. That will solve the lazy issue. If, on the other hand, they are contracting software development then terminate the contract. If the problem is due to inadequate project scoping, fire that VP and hire back better. Historically I have done all my own maintenace, and have not encountered much issue with outsourced foreign parts. I did acquire a new BW brake pedal switch that was bad out of the box. The worst part of that was how long it took me to figure out that it was bad. 🤔

Haven't you guys seen videos of automotive manufacturing? It's all automated and getting more so every day. Sure the billionaire and wealthy capitalist want to bring manufacturing back to the USA but not to employ Americans. AI and robotics are going to put millions out of work, it's already happening. The computer chip factory where I used to work (retired now) is investing heavily in AI and already has robots doing some of the work people used to do. The USA and the rest of humanity is heading toward a dystopian future we used to read about in scary sci-fi novels. Y'all laughing at me talking like this are going to have a rude awakening some day.

At least robot assembly repeats itself exactly each and every time. Not like a union worker who gets the same pay for doing mediocre work as a guy who excels at what he does there. Also, on Friday afternoons everyone is thinking about their weekend at the lake so they forget to tighten a bolt or check the connectors on a harness. At least manufacturing here in the USA we aren't exporting our money to the drug cartels who run all of the assembly plants and the governments in Mexico.

As someone who works on robots for a living, I wouldn't say they repeat EVERY time. But they do have a higher precision tolerance than the comparable human counterpart typically. We aren't ever going to get away from recalls and product failures though. It's just that the "Friday afternoon" for a robot is only every few years when something wears out and goes out of spec.

Well they lost money. Oh well. I have my Maverick so whatever. Not like they'll close down completely. And if they do I'll buy a different car.

The Maverick isn't really part of the current promotional offers.

We need to manufacture the robots in USA in addition to the vehicles:)
