Just curious what’s the fastest you’ve driven your 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid - those of us that own this beauty have already realized it quick off the line and has enough torque to impress more than a few when passing traffic on the open highway.

obey the laws and be safe out there no matter how tempted you are to smoke the car at the next traffic light…

I'm actually curious about how the hybrid performs at rolling acceleration versus the ecoboost. The EB wins in straight-line drag-style consistent long acceleration, but things might get muddier when the battery has a chance to help the Hybrid out on a rolling take off like one might do to pass on the highway. What are the 40-60 or 55-75 times on them I wonder?

Since I obsess about mpg, about 70mph. Maybe I hit 75 once. I save the speed for my zx-11 (165) and my zrx1200 (135)

Highest was kissing 80 mph while passing somebody, and actually hadn't expected it to gain as much speed as it did while passing them. I did let it coast back down to my original speed, when coming up on the slower vehicle.

On electric, I've managed around 40 before kicking it on, with what was likely a full charge on the HVB. You can only do it on flat, or preferably at least slightly down hill. (Up hill it's going to engage the ICE no matter how light you're on the gas, and turning the steering wheel usually also makes it too easy to engage the ICE). It will however cycle in & out pure EV mode at speed into the 60s when the throttle input is low enough.

If one is adept (I’m not) at “brake boosting” a turbo during a “roll race” - the EB will gap the Hybrid by even a larger margin.

However, I have yet to watch a Maverick Hybrid review by a “performance” driver that is not seriously surprised by the performance!

Edit…the roll race is about 11 minutes into video. Andre did not brake boost his turbo:)

I've been all electric,
Engine not spinning at 81 MPH.

Top speed is published. But I've never gotten there.

Isn't there a speed governor? My Transit(not Connect) tops out at 98 mph. My old Sprinter topped at just 80 mph!

I've hit close to 90 passing someone, and 80-85 minding my own business on an empty highway. Never hit a governor limit.
