I've taken in my 2024 Maverick lariat twice for this issue. When I first bought the vehicle the lane centering, not to be confused with Lane assist was working perfectly. As I went down the road if there was a slight curve in the road the vehicle would track exactly in the center of the lane. There was no bouncing back and forth between the lane markers. The first time I went in they said it's working the way it should and I did some research and found out that Lane centering is different from lane assist. The co-pilot assist feature which the lariat has is supposed to keep it centering.
So now they are telling me that Ford probably did a over the air update that reduce the functionality of that feature. The service department supposed that they did that because they didn't want people to rely too much on Lane centering. I did not rely on it very much but it was nice to be able to have a relaxing drive, with my hands on the wheel, and not worry about where I was in the lane. I could feel the vehicle turning without my assistance.
Sorry for the long post but I wanted to give background information. My question is this to you all, what is your experience with the lane centering that is included in the co-pilot 360?
