My first purchase was a Silver’s coil over kit!

When I got my xl hybrid (2 years ago) it was still a little bit rough around the edges. It lurched a little bit when switching from electric power, coming to a stop. There was a battery connection issue that was causing no start issues and people were starting to notice the shaking under acceleration.

But, it was CHEAP, and got great mileage so I felt it was still a good buy for my circumstances.

The biggest gripe I had, was it seemed too tall, and leaned a little too much through the corners. I figured coil overs would solve the ride height/poor handling and might even end up with a decent ride.

Ford did recalls that solved the lurching, and battery cable problems.

But the vibration on acceleration other owners were experiencing, concerned me enough to postpone my suspension modification plans.

After a few months, it was clear to me, that we were going to have an issue with cv axles. I decided to wait until the power train warranty was expired or my cv axles needed replacement.

I finally had the axles replaced at 50k and installed the lowering kit.
12k miles later and I couldn’t be happier. It did take me a WHILE to get all the adjustments figured out, but this was my first attempt at lowering a vehicle.
Can you share any details on the drop ? How low, spring rates, etc ?

Ford hood protector for Maverick. Easy to install, still does a good job 3 years later.

I ordered Weather Tech laser fit floor mats (both front and back) and Weather Tech mud flaps at the same time. I have a set of the door tray liners on their way.
Door tray liners arrived... front ones fir great. Back ones did NOT fit well at all.... so be careful about them.

I purchased the complete warranty packages by Ford, including the Premium. I have already used the premium to replace a lost/stolen key pod.
Then I purchased a Tonneau cover, and various interior additions. Also, a Plano poly storage trunk for the bed. Next, lettering and accent tape for the exterior. Made a bed divider out of gray Trex. Bought a poly tow hitch insert. Not shown: a dash cover mat.
I regret nothing I have purchased.

I have a 2024 XL Hybrid. I'm looking for bed storage and a tonneau cover? Can you recommend the type you purchased and provide a picture please?

LOL, it is all in good fun MavStangVa. I am glad you pointed out the shock covers. I am concerned about the relocate for the emergency fuel door release. That seems to be implied that someone should know where or how to relocate it. But I think it is a good idea to get that covered. I guess even if I had to carry a pry tool with me to pop off that cover in the event I needed to release the door that would be doable. Assuming that doesn't happen often. That shock should have been covered in the first place.
I did not have to do relocate the emergency fuel door release to install the Shock covers.

I am learning how to spend more money from you guys... You brought a couple of things to my attention that I didn't know needed my attention... Shock covers? Rear bumper cover plate? Ok, adding them to the wish list... Keep the ideas coming!
1st. thing I did was get truck rustproofed & undercoated. Then I got a spray in bedliner. Then Zurich Shield interior and exterior protection. Then a Truxedo Sentry hard roll up tonneau cover and Weathertech splash guards.

The title says it all. What was the first thing you bought for your Maverick? What made it the first thing? What have you bought for your Maverick that you regret buying?

I have a pile of stuff waiting in my Amazon cart to get, but I was curious what others bought first and why.
Floor mats (From Ford. Weathertech were only $4 cheaper). I am abusive to my vehicle floors.

Got a seat cover for the back seat for my Golden Retriever.

Next up are tonneau cover and tailgate assist.

Mud flaps, but that wasn't an exciting add-on. First real thing was a MX4 Tri-fold bed cover and a rubber cap for the hitch. A few months later the tailgate assist. That was about it for the first 6 months. Got some seat covers and a bed rack the following year. No other add-on of note. Not big on mods.

Then I got no other upgrades. So nothing to regret.

I don't like the long OEM antenna and I never hear the radio, so it's worthless
I always hear Spotify while I'm driving
