The title says it all. What was the first thing you bought for your Maverick? What made it the first thing? What have you bought for your Maverick that you regret buying?

I have a pile of stuff waiting in my Amazon cart to get, but I was curious what others bought first and why.

The first thing I bought for my Maverick was a gallon of windshield washer fluid.
Ford had only filled it enough to make the light go out. It came on when I was driving it home from the dealership.

A tank of gas, followed by a license plate. Followed by rubber floormats front and rear, a soft lower for the tailgate, hood support struts, mud flaps, plastic console nested buckets, and a center dash tray.

Stubby Jr. radio Antenna (very low clearance garage parking in one area), knockoff WeatherTech style floor mats, and the WildTop canvas bed topper/rack, all ordered the same day I brought it home. All are great!

So I had to check after reading this but if I were parking somewhere that didn't have enough clearance for the original antenna I almost wouldn't be able to stand up straight next to the vehicle! That's some low garage clearance!

Does gasoline count? It was empty when i bought it lol. Put 2" rough country leveling struts up front, tailgate assist and trifold bed cover out back, 2 8" subs with 5 channel amplifier and replacement speakers for doors and pillars plus new cooper all terrain tires. Cant remember which cane first per say but i dont regret any of them. I do want a set of raised tailgate letters but haven't decided between black or chrome.

First thing was Mabett mudflaps.

Since - dash organizer, rear bumper cover plate, tailgate hole cover, door side storage trays (all Mabett); Yitamotors liners (great product) and soft roll-up tonneau cover; Rival skid plate; console organizer, tailgate damper; two bed storage bins and tailgate liner (Ford points). Have the Mabett underbody cavity shield cover but have not installed yet

If you're like me, you'll buy a crap ton of stuff, stick it in the garage and forget about it.

Until months later, then it's like a second Christmas!

First thing I bought: Lasfit LED reverse bulbs

Third thing I bought: Start-X remote start

I purchased the complete warranty packages by Ford, including the Premium. I have already used the premium to replace a lost/stolen key pod.
Then I purchased a Tonneau cover, and various interior additions. Also, a Plano poly storage trunk for the bed. Next, lettering and accent tape for the exterior. Made a bed divider out of gray Trex. Bought a poly tow hitch insert. Not shown: a dash cover mat.
I regret nothing I have purchased.

Honestly, I can't say what was "first". Shortly after bringing my 2024 Lariat Hybrid home in late February of 2025, I went CRAZY ordering stuff. For now I am done with accessories, but to date I have:

I spent $38K on the Maverick and like another $5.5K on extras.

Well thanks to you fine folks i can tell you what my mpst recent purchase is lol. Just ordered door pocket organizers (in orange to match whats already in the console), a tailgate hole cover and tailgate letters lol.
