How realistic is "8-12 weeks" from order date?

This is what the dealer told us when we placed an order mid Oct 2021. (This is a 2.0 and not the Hybrid)

Just wondering how realistic that time frame is given the Maverick's popularity or if that is just the general numbers the dealer gives people.
It seems to me that folks that placed their orders way back when this started have only started to get their Mavericks, so I would have to imagine that an order placed in mid Oct has TONS of people in front them.

I ordered a maverick 2.0 EB early Oct and still no production date. Keep in mind that production dates are being scheduled about 6-8 weeks out from what I have seen. And then another 4 weeks for delivery roughly.
So even if you get scheduled this week you would still be roughly 10-12 weeks away before it is delivered probably.

From what have seen ..12 weeks for an eco boost would be totally FAST .8 weeks doubtful .i ordered 11/3 I would be dancing in the street if it came inside of 4 month,s.

I think you got it right when you said 8 to 12 weeks is their standard answer. That said, 12 weeks may be possible but not likely. I'd say maybe early spring might be a better guess.

More like 8 weeks at best to get a build date, 2 weeks for blend and build, 4 weeks for delivery. So 14 weeks in a perfect world which this isn't.

I ordered on 6-19. Build date is 11-29. That’s over 5 months and delivery will probably be another month. Ordered an awd 2.0 .

I think "optimistic" would be the better word.

They have a years worth of production to accomplish at this point. It's realistic.

A lot of it also depends on your dealer. How many orders they have vs how many allocations they get.

Ordered july 28, took delivery nov 3rd. Xlt lux fx4 4k to a dealership in nova scotia canada. So maybe?

My dealer said 12-14 weeks. ordered 11/15 EB, 4K, sliding window, spray on liner and inverter

IMO 12 weeks is pretty optimistic but possible. My experience is anecdotal but I'll walk you through it.

On 8/16 Ford forced me to reorder my Maverick so we will use this date NOT my original order date.

So production officially started mid September so lets say 9/16. I didn't receive a VIN until 10/21 with a build date of 12/13. If that goes to plan it should take around a week for production then lets estimate 4 weeks for shipping.

So for me 9/16 when production started to 10/21 equals 4.5 weeks to get a VIN. Add an additional 3 weeks from 10/21 until the tentative build date of 12/13. So now we are at 7.5 weeks from when production started until my build date.
Now we have to add an additional 4 weeks for shipping so that brings me to a penitential wait time of 12-13 weeks which is close to the longer end that your dealer said it would take.

Lets face it dealers are optimistic anyway especially when talking to customers so a 13-14 week wait wouldn't surprise me.
