Big Star in Pearland sent me an email on 7-14 that said Maverick order bank opening soon.
"Next week, Ford will start accepting new orders for the F-150 and the Ranger, and the order bank for the Maverick, Explorer, and best-selling Bronco Sport will open shortly thereafter."

I spoke with general sales manager. He said 8-2 when I said I wanted to order a Maverick.
He had me stop by same day to print out a 2022 build with trim, options & take my info they could use to enter when it opens.
Sounds like OP has found his new dealership!

Maybe one of these guys can answer that @fordvideoguy @KevCuRaoi
Dealers haven't gotten any more info than @skadizzle just posted below. We did get another email with estimated order bank open dates for most vehicle lines. It did say Aug 2nd.

It is possible that Aug 2nd would be for roll-overs only? Ford told dealers that we'd receive more info on the 2nd.

We also don't know when on the 2nd the order banks will open (or that we will receive order guides).
Order banks for 23 F-150 opened on July 18th. I couldn't access an order guide until after 3pm....and order banks actually opened between 4 and 5pm.
So if you go into the dealership the morning or early afternoon on the 2nd, there still is a good chance that the dealer won't be able to price/order a 23 Maverick for you at that time.

What I am suggesting that our customers do.: plan out an order based on 22 options. We'll submit into WBDO as soon as we can on the 2nd. And then get in contact with the customers to confirm pricing and options (in case colors / options have changed for 23). Then we can adjust, resubmit, and complete ROVP process.

Yeah I was monitoring the F150 order banks as a comparison. I figure someone will post the order guide as soon as it is available that day and I'll just build my order and then go by the dealer after work. Hopefully the banks will be open by then.

I've gotten 2 responses. 1 from a dealer near work, and one from a dealer near home.

Dealer near home said when it get's closer to August (I emailed him on 7/18) reach back out and we'll schedule an appointment for the date the order banks are supposed to open.

Dealer near work said yes they believe based on the information they've received orders will open on 8/2 but they've not received any details on trims/options and would email me letting me know to come in when the orders do officially open.

That sounds like a good plan to me!

I certainly wish they'd at least send out the order guides (and ordering process for transitioning orders) at least a day ahead of time to us, so we could be better prepared on the 2nd!

this is what I’m going on. My dealer knew about August 2 and was mildly upset when I acted like he wouldn’t. He set an appointment for August 1 (in case the order banks open early) So I guess we’ll do an order based on 22 options and see what happens.

Glad you have a plan! I really don't expect any major changes... I'm sure a few colors will change, and they may re-work some of the packages to relieve the problems with the spray-in bedliner (which they already did for late 22 orders I guess), but that is about it.

As long as they do the ROVP process (signed buyers order & drivers license) relatively soon after submitting the order, you will be fine!

So if u look at the bottom of the email it says the 8/2 date but then the last 2 words say
(ford internal) ford video guy said in his first video about the mass email( and this could of changed and maybe it did) was the ford inturnal was for carry over orders to replace their orders and then the banks open all the way on the 15... Maybe it changed but that was my impression

So I went by Mak Haik Ford of Houston yesterday. They had a Lariat on lot and Luis was kind enough to call me and say hurry in and test drive before they sell it (they knew I was planning on ordering).

Between that and confirming no mark ups, I feel it is right to give Luis the chance to make the sale since he helped me out. Here's the rub, when we were talking order he said 8/15. I told him I read 8/2, but he said this is coming from his boss.

I emailed today thanking him for the call, and sent a couple links saying 8/2. He just emailed backing saying he confirmed it is 8/15. Is there something official I point him to on this? Don't want him to lose out based upon bad data he is getting. But I will go elsewhere over this if they don't get it together. Also a bit concerning they are not more plugged in to know this. It's not a small time dealer or in a small market here...
Just got told by my dealer that the only Mavericks that can be ordered on Aug 2 were the 2.0. No idea when hybrids can be ordered. Rats! We were going to order 2 XLT’s. Now, who knows when.

Can any of the dealers on here confirm only EBs are available to order 8/2?
I've got an appointment 8/3 to order a hybrid...

I like to return good service with my business when I can. Until a compelling reason is given, I'll stick with them for the courtesy of the test drive call they gave me.

I did email Luis back this morning, and he dug in further and agreed 8/2 is the date they show as well. I think he was getting bad data from his boss. He recently ordered a Bronco for himself that delivered and was walking me through the process so he seems to know what to do. Showed the order form signed, copy of license, DORA, OTD costs signed both sides, etc. Confirmed no ADM, no mandatory "upgrades". So assuming they keep on that model should be good... If not I walk.
