I see you have a hybrid truck, the A/C system that is used in the hybrid, is the best system I have ever had, because it will run at full capacity without the ICE engine running. Standing still in traffic, hit the max A/C button, and you won't believe how cold it gets!

The AC works great. So much so that I get lazy about putting the sun screen in the windshield.
The seats? They could use some cooling.....

When I first got my 2022 XLT, the A/C didn’t feel as cold as it should. Even with the fan on full blast, the air just wasn’t that cool. This was a brand-new truck, so I was surprised. I decided to check the cabin air filter and found that it was ripped and being sucked into the blower motor. After replacing it, the A/C performance drastically improved — it was ice cold. I would definitely check the cabin air filter!

I have the 2023 Lariat and it'll freeze your nether-regions off. In other words, it's a Ford.

I’ve always respected Ford A/C and my Maverick (‘25 Lariat) does not differ! It’s 90 in Louisiana today. not five minutes after starting the truck it’s cool enough to be comfortable.

Ok, dumb me, how and when should an AC system be maintained? At a certain time after usage or yearly?
Yea---in all my years of owning cars with AC I've never had to do maintenance. When it quit working, I took it to an AC guy.

Yes, they can get cold, and fast, if that's what you want. SEVEN fan speeds and the MAX A/C button will blow you out of the truck with arctic air.

Fords are known for many things. One of the good things is their kick-ass air conditioning capacity.

Just replace the cabin filter (behind the glovebox) when needed. Nothing else, unless you have issues with cooling. Normally, the refrigerant should not leak and the refrigerant never needs "changing." If it ever does need more added, it's due to a leak, which needs to be addressed.

I had my last Ford truck for over 22 years. The A/C system never needed anything - not even additional refrigerant.
