Ford has put a hold on Maverick Builds?

Hello Everyone,

I stopped by my dealer today to check out the Family and Friends deal. The salesperson told me that Ford has put a Hold on building any new Mavericks. This might last until August. It might have something to do with the Rear Camera issue? The salesperson said he could write up my order, but Ford will not start the build.

Has anyone heard about this latest action by Ford. Just thought I would ask.

There is no reason for them to build. They have a 100 day supply sitting on dealer lots. They are literally giving away free f-150’s if you qualify. Same with Broncos. They screwed them selves with greedy price increases during Pandemic and now they will pay the price

I’ve purchase at least 10 new Ford Vehicles I wonder if I qualify for a “free” F-150?

All manufacturers are experiencing a sales slump. Jeep has some models with a 400 day supply.

Actually, that's over a year. There's 365 days in a year. Add another 35 days so you're looking at 1 year and 1 month supply. And it's evident at any CJDR lot you go to. Inventory for days.

I find this ironic because our dealership doesn't have any Mavericks at all. Ever since its launch, they're either special ordered with an immediate buyer or the dealer allocations are sold within days. Just last Wednesday, our dealer only had two, a Velocity Blue XLT FX4 and a Space White XL. Two days later, they're both gone. I don't buy the 100 day supply because here in South Florida, at least, they're a hot commodity. You're lucky to find a row full of them, let alone just a couple. It must depend on the region.

Try this on for size. Production is being suspended because of a 25% price hike
That will price the Maverick out of any reasonable pricing range.
I wouldn’t ever pay $50,000 for any Mav.

Ford publishes their manufacturing units and sales units of Mavericks (and all other models) and for the past 3, 4 months they are building way more than they are selling... Ford dealer allocations are totally unpredictable....one of my 8 local dealers have a dozen in stock most have 0 to 2 or 3 in stock.

My 2025 hybrid awd lariet entered production on May 26. I received confirmation today that it was built and awaiting shipment..

They list the dates of manufacture in the stop sale. It does not appear to affect current builds at this time. They have apparently addressed the issue on the production line, but dealers cannot sell there current vehicles that fall into those dates.

The ford stop order is due to the passenger seat airbag indicator light that has a mounting problem. Ford put a stop sale order the day before the Memorial Day Sale, great timing for the dealers.
