Been looking to improve my game on tire dressing. So tried on the greasy mess the stuff leave on the side of the car and the driveway. Also they don't last long. I've tried McQuires, Armoral spray and foam and get shitaki results. So I started searching and there's all kinds of options but I don't have "ONE MILLION DOLLARS" to try all of them. So I am humbly resquesting help.

Thanks. I suppose it leaves a mess on black top like all the others?

There's not much you can do about that, I think, other than using towels. All products are going to run a bit.

BTW, "No Touch Tire Care" is the best stuff I've used. The amount of shine you get can be adjusted by how much/how long you leave on the tire. I prefer more of a matte or satin finish rather than glossy, and can get that if I wipe it off just after it's applied.

Put down some towels and park on them during treatment to keep your driveway clean.
I used to do that but my wife no longer allows me to wash those in her machine because they leave a residue that gets on other stuff.

I love Griots Long-Lasting Tire Dressing. Gives a satin finish unless you apply a second coat. Most importantly it lasts a long time. A bit pricey but I apply about 3 times a year and my bottle is 6 years old. Apply with a sponge, no flinging or dripping.

I've tried many tire shines through the years on various vehicles and my favorites have been Meguiars Hot Shine and Armor All Extreme Shine Foam (has the trigger nozzle). I apply and let it dry for a while before driving. I know a lot of people don't have time for that, but I've had no slinging issues as a result.

Using mostly Griot's stuff across the board now, so I am interested in trying their tire shine to see how it looks and works.

The best 'tire shine' is none.
Agree. Do you have a suggestion for a product that keeps tires black without the shine?

Bleche-White has been mentioned and I intend to try it, but can't find it locally.

I like the Matt finish I see on giant truck tires. That’s what I want. Next time I see one I’m going to follow and ask.
