But 63,706 vehicles affected ? Lots of Mules I guess ;)
Cheers
Considering regular production of 25 Mavericks didn't start until the fall, any made in from April 2024 - early October 2024 would have been test mules/demos. 😝

'24 is when they replaced a 3 cent light holder with a 2 cent light holder!

Now the light pops off when it shakes, rattles, and of course, rolls.

ETA:
Actually, what I'm picturing is some young whipper-snapper is a new auditor sent to the factor to find some cost savings.
And dog-gone it, he's going to make a name for himself.
Back in the corner of a warehouse are bins of these little things he discovers are light holders.
He doesn't know why they are there, no notes from the prior inventory person he got fired last month.
Well - he's going to save a bunch of money on these misplaced items, and has them brought back out to the floor to be used on the line.
He saved thousands!!!

He hopes he's noticed by upper management so he can advance. And stop coming to Mexico just as the heat is starting in April.

A corporate tale as old as time. Tripping over a $1 to pick up a dime.

So I just picked up my 2025 AWD XLT yesterday (May 22nd) and on the window sticker at the bottom the blend date is April 24th so does that mean it was actually built that day? I thought I read somewhere else final assembly could actually be a few days before or after that date?

Also I find it interesting that the date range is from April 11, 2024 through April 25, 2025 and it affects 63706 vehicles. When did they start building MY25 Mav's? It also says affected vehicles are identified in OASIS and FSA vin lists. I wonder if there is a way to check if our particular vehicle is affected? Surely there must be if they have identified the dates and number of vehicles affected. I saw speculation on another thread that it only affects Lariat models but no idea if that's true or not or where that information came from.

25's in Nov?
24's for sure involved, still being made after Apr.
That campaign info on 1st page of thread doesn't say anything about Lariat only. Because they all have that same bezel.
Can't recall any pictures even showing it a different color.
25's is center console, 24's is area next to screen on passenger side.

Since not a recall, yet, the normal VIN search sites aren't good.
Registered on Ford.com yet with account with your VIN?
Looked yet?

Also - your door jamb sticker besides tire pressure - lists the mfg date.

Hopefully for those of us that had a production date after April 24, they will be able to sell after delivery still. Mine was built in mid May and is currently on a train.

While I don’t dismiss accountability from Ford I will say that most of the cost savings come from the suppliers and not directly as a request from Ford. The Bronco hard top launch was a great example of a supplier greasing the wheels with Ford saying they can do the production and even when their company was the first globally to go into COVID precautions, with tooling coming directly from Wuhan, they still assured Ford every meeting that they could continue with promised deliverables. It was a huge fiasco and it’s not the first, hasn’t been the last. All these tier level suppliers are equally as pressed by shareholders for “number must go up” and it’s been destroying quality and even entire brands. Bill the same number to Ford but cut corners where they think they can. Ford doesn’t deserve all the blame here though they steer the ship and it’s understandable how they get the blame for it. But it still goes both ways as the final approvals rely on Ford and the supplier is relied to ensure it’s correct. I do want to know where the fault lies on this one. It could be as simple as the tailgate down camera issue they removed as an option, in all the testing it passed but real world proved a dynamic beyond prediction.

After finding this thread I logged into my Ford account and found this notice. I left off my name and vin. 2025 XLT AWD Hybrid. I picked it up 2/7/25 or thereabouts. Seems like there is a fix but no parts available. Damn, hope they don't have to drop my dash to add or replace retaining clips.

Whoa, you want them to put the retaining clips back in the dash? Retaining clips, let me look through this pile of spare parts... LOL

well, If it does require them to remove the dash I might actually bring mine in and see if they'll replace the top of my dash at the same time since I accidentally scratched mine up.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a youtuber who showed you how to do these superficial recalls so you could do it yourself or fixed the service technicians hands on your vehicle?

The repair procedures documentation gets mirrored on the NHTSA site.

Got the same alert in FordPass as @MontgomeryLittle on my XLT built 2/25. Also got an email from Carfax stating same thing.
