I was about to repost the same pick. Sorry I don't have a good pick showing it, but it is even with the bumper. This is the Alpha II, not the original Alpha.
@64Jazz. Hang in there. We waited 11 months but it was worth it.
I don't know if I have a picture showing it, but was delighted to discover that the RTT does hang over the closed tailgate but doesn't extend past the bumper.
@Bigsarge. Closed it is about 48 wide, 60 long, 13 or so high. Sits about flush with the cab now but may lower the rack after we fit a tonneau.
Folded out, bed is queen sized; 60 x 78 or so.
Added a TuffStuff Alpha II "rooftop" tent on self engineered bed rack made with 4 Simpson Strongtie brackets and Unistrut. Queen size bed. Overhangs the bed in the back but doesn't reach beyond the tailgate. More info once we spend a night in it.
@MaverickQC Could get us a measurement from the floor of the truck bed to the bottom of the topper roof? You may have posted a picture of the inside but it didn't load on my phone.
Ordered the center console tray via Amazon and have already returned it. Poor design and/or execution. The "ears" on the bottom tray were too small to keep it in place.
Looks like it might be discontinued but there is/was hot pepper rodent deterrent tape from Honda. https://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/honda-rodent-deterrent-tape-prevents-wire-damage/
Bought some after $1100 repair to '06 Kia.
I'm overdue to apply some under the hood of the Maverick.
Also...
@Pam53, did you figure out how to keep water from running behind the black plastic trim and draining out inside the bed? Looking hard at ordering one of these in the Spring.
In use, these stick out too. You have to somehow hold them out while you close the hood. I tried them the other way but that makes them harder to hide, at least on the Escape.
I don't know yet what the bolt options are under the Maverick hood, but here is what we use on our 2011 Escape. There when you need them. Hidden when you don't.
