So I was having lower than expected mpg on my new fleet of mavericks hybrid average 37 mpg and I decided to change the oil on all of them at 3k my old fleet of 22 was averaging 42 mpg and to my surprise after changing the oil my new fleet of 25 are averaging 42.5 few weeks after the change, so it looks like the factory fill is somewhat a brake in oil it also looked kind of green in color, after the analysis of the old oil we did find few metallic specs so my recommendation is to change your oil no later than 3k for the first change we used full synthetic

Changing oil i doubt made that much difference in mpg even it it is break-in oil.just my opinion 🤗
My fleet is 10 trucks just replace my previous fleet 22 hyb for 25 they all show same improvement on exactly same routes I was very surprised in a good way

Noticed the same after my Ecoboost oil change at 1k miles and switching from blend to full synthetic. Of course i'm only getting like 28mpg average but that's an improvement still.

I like to think its the oil change but it could also be that fuels are switching away from a winter blend, me learning how to drive more efficiently, temperatures become more moderate, etc.

My personal opinion is that driving habits can vary MPG immensely

I mean that's a fact lol, if I drive in eco and use ACC on my way to work for the highway parts I get like 29-31 mpg depending on how many times I hit a read light. If I'm launching out of red lights and trying to pass everyone I get like 23 mpg.

I totally agree on that. When I'm in traffic at the stoplight grand prix, I need to request 20% power just to keep up, and that always starts the ICE. If I'm on my own, I can keep it under 10% and use electric drive a much greater portion of the time. My truck really loves heavy freeway traffic, where the herd rumbles along at 30 MPH and acceleration is lethargic. I think cold weather kills MPG too, in that using the heater runs the ICE more. Short trips starting on a cold engine are the worst...!
(My lead-footed GF would probably get 20 MPG)

looks like a switch from winter blend to summer blend, here in central Texas.

Also I would suggest that once you are a wear of achieving better fuel economy, you would try to make it happen?

I have been trying to hit 900mpt, maybe with the blend change over I have another shot at it.

I am in Spicewood outside Austin..I can go to Marble Falls next town outside Austin. There is a division line between cities, Austin gets more 'cleaner' fuel.

I use MF fuel as it's cheaper and i get better fuel economy.

Usually just knowing and monitoring FE will get you better FE...

Totally anecdotal (and second-hand anecdotal, at that)...but the other day I pulled up to a light next to a guy on a brand new Yamaha bike that my 4-yr old really wanted a closer look at. I rolled down his window and the guy looked over and started giving us the thumbs up. I thought maybe he was responding to my son giving him the thumbs up, but no, he was trying to get my attention. I rolled down my window and he goes...

"I got the same exact truck! 2025 hybrid AWD! How you like it? What sort of mileage you getting?"

"Averaging about 41 right now."

"Oh, how many miles?"

"300."

"Just wait...I hit 2,000 last week and my mpg shot up to 50."

Looking forward to that (if it's true).
