Just filled up. Computer said I got 38.3mpg for this tank. Got 412 miles out of the tank. It took 14.13 gallons to fill up. So looks like I only averaged 29.15mpg for the tank. The computer is almost 10mpg off?

I have a 2025 and was having a lot of trouble getting this procedure to work. The screens are very different from prior years. I think I have figured it out for 2025 model year.
Procedure to access Engineering Test mode is the same. Hold OK and press start- keep holding OK until a grey ET shows up on the dash. At this point I waited for a while for the alerts to cycle through. After I cleared the seat belt warning, I still had ET on the dash but had a blank screen. When I toggled up/down with the button, I saw the screen like, acknowledge that I changed something but I still couldn't see anything.
Next, I hit the hamburger stack on the right of the steering wheel- The three stacked lines. That was the needed input. Engineering test screens became visible and I was able to edit my afe bias down to 950 (all of my actual mileages have been 5% off).
tldr: hold ok to enter ET mode. if you can't see the info screens, hit the three stacked lines button.
I will have to look into that. Though mine is 35% off... Seems a little extreme.
I do, 15 minutes before heading out most mornings. That equals about 5 hours of warmup time during a month.Do you remote start a lot? That fuel consumption may not be factored.
bet this is it, though.I do, 15 minutes before heading out most mornings. That equals about 5 hours of warmup time during a month.
I'm gonna bet about 8 mpg difference.bet this is it, though.
You could not remote start for your next entire tank of gas and see what difference it makes.
Now that the weather is starting to warm I will not be remote starting as much.bet this is it, though.

I kinda see what Ford might be intending since they're showing miles of actual travel and the gas spent doing so. but the fuel is getting consumed, so it's kind of disingenuous to exclude fuel spent idling after a remote start. Now that the weather is starting to warm I will not be remote starting as much.
Don't know about a hybrid, but my Eco figures in idle time in fuel economy.I kinda see what Ford might be intending since they're showing miles of actual travel and the gas spent doing so. but the fuel is getting consumed, so it's kind of disingenuous to exclude fuel spent idling after a remote start.
mine does also... and I can't recall anyone else with this issue, so this might be a 'feature' for 2025 or even more specifically, 2025 hybrids.Don't know about a hybrid, but my Eco figures in idle time in fuel economy.
Might not be intentional.I kinda see what Ford might be intending since they're showing miles of actual travel and the gas spent doing so. but the fuel is getting consumed, so it's kind of disingenuous to exclude fuel spent idling after a remote start.
