I talked to Ford Customer Care and asked about the supposed Battery killing discharge issue. I gave them my VIN and read the work orders I had with the SSM number. Her name was Jordan. She found and read to me the comment about fix in the first Quarter and nothing else. She said there are no other notes and when there is a fix the dealer will contact me or a recall may be issued. So basically no fix yet.

We really need to flood Ford Corporate with calls and file a complaint with NHTSA. It takes only 10 minutes to fill out the form. Doing nothing and trying to fix this yourself only hides the problem. I understand that we need to keep the battery from dieing for convenience but a report would help.
I forgot that the Ford Rep did say this issue affected 2022 thru 2024.

I am assuming this is a Hybrid only issue?

at Autozone, Walmart, amazon, . . .

uhh, count me out!

Gosh, I expected a couple of announcements on April 1, but only because . . .

I found as a young parent that I could get all kinds of authoritative and unsolicited advice on child rearing from those who were unencumbered with experience on the subject . . .
Your reply is not TRUE. A battery ALONE will NOT fix the issue. Heck 2025 come with AGM still have issue posted on this forum.

NOW YOU expect people to get aftermarket dongle thing to connect to PC then run forscan and modify programming ourselves? to set SOC to 100. Will that for sure fix issue is still not proven

Your response is quite insulting in my opinion.

NOT to OP as he suggested a fix which was fine and nice of them. BUT to say asking for ford to fix it is some how wrong is nutty.

I don’t believe 2025s experiencing the issues.

You must have worked on Government beaurocracy projects in order to make a 4-year delay on a critical fix somehow tolerable. No software shop needs 4 years to make any level of change. The entire platform costs a lot less than that. They just change the team out who does not know what they're doing. And yes, I've done that dev job, the QA job, the teamlead job and the principle engineer job on a lot of software for 57 years before retiring.
Yep! Also, a note that there is a good bet that some of these software "experts" may have been working from home. You know, at least 30-40.... (minutes per day). Can't miss that episode on HGTV! Time to feed the kids and then get that grass mowed!

Our episode on HGTV for this issue would be Fix My Frankenhouse. Just a joke don't get bent.

Not particularly. Check any other line if Fords escape, F150, etc. they all use same BMS , seems like only recently they started with the "deep sleep" notifications.

Do you have actual studies to back up your statement or is it just based on your personal biases?

Here's an article on Forbes.com saying that remote work is more productive

Here's an article on the Bureau of Labor Statistics on numbers that they crunched

Productive employees in office are productive employees working remotely (even moreso, according to the real world numbers). The opposite is true as well. Therefore, good employees are good employees and bad employees are bad employees.

Feel free to source your opinions with studies and not merely anecdotes.

Some jobs you can't work from home, some you can't only work 3-4 days a week. I worked in 911 for 28 years. Had to have someone their, mostly two, 24/7, no working from home. Some jobs you can. Some people are more productive and some aren't

I have had my Lariat for 3 weeks. I keep my keys in it in the garage. No issues.

Thanks for that information. I had no clue. First vehicle I owned with a fob. Seems to be a lot of stuff that does not add to my driving satisfaction but does add to my driving distractions.
According to the manual and testing - the fobs go to sleep after about a minute and stop sending out anything.

Actually only the keyless entry/push-button start do that anyway, the remote fob requires a button push to send anything.

Not nearly enough time.

Besides EB - wrong model.
