Not 100% sure about that. The brakes didn't apply, but the warning went on momentarily. Perhaps the chap was in just the right spot for the camera.

Isn't that the way the system is designed? Warning is just that....warning you that something IS there but does not apply the brakes until it NEEDS to apply the brakes when about to hit the object. Maybe I'm wrong.

I hope so. I haven't had the unpleasant opportunity to confirm that. Maybe the manual can shed some it Looks like you're correct. Much more sophisticated than I realized.

I have to drain some sand from the bottom, so it doesn't cause too much damage if the truck doesn't automatically brake.
That's why I was hoping for a calm day with little wind.
