Did the OP receive a confirmation email from Ford? I skimmed through the thread and didn't see whether he did or not. I'm gonna get some push back on this but IMO if you received the confirmation email then your dealer entered your order correctly. Especially at this point. Hell ordering started in June and the Mav is an underdog success so by this time Ford dealerships should know what a Mav is and how to place an order for one correctly.

I know there are some outliers where you guys are gonna say "I never received an email but my order was submitted." and that is great but your dealer messed up. Maybe not in submitting your order but somewhere along the line they either messed up or intentionally left you out of the loop.

I placed an order a couple weeks ago due to the hybrid cutoff. It was completed online through the dealers internet department.

They asked for copy of drivers license and 500 deposit. I recieved a build order with priority code 10 and the email from Ford confirming my order. Most customers would assume this is complete. But from reading here and Tim Bartz videos, this is not the case.

I asked them if I was verified in ROVP. The online guy didn't know about it, he said he passes the order to someone else to enter in the system. I called a couple more times and they said I was verified by submitting my drivers license to them and nothing else is required. Maybe they did it, but I'm not confident about it.

Ford and the dealers need to clarify their processes with each other, not rely on the customers to keep on top of it. There should not be a confirmation email from Ford if the order isn't really complete in the system.

I thought I saw a Tim Bartz @fordvideoguy video where he said that you will still recieve a truck, but only after all ROVPs are fulfilled. But his last video he said Ford will not even look at your order if you are not in ROVP and the deadline for ROVP is Nov 17, see video below. So is my order void at that time?

I don't want to switch dealers as this one sells all vehicles at invoice, even their few stock Mavs they had. They also have zero closing fees. So to switch would cost way way more just to get a few months sooner.

Well that deposit is BULL PUCKY as Ford does not require one to order the maverick. I would let the dealer know that and if he gives any push back I be going to another dealer

I guess I need to call my dealer to confirm

Until reading this thread I had always understood the confirmation email from Ford meant the order was submitted properly. It makes sense that people who don't receive the email are concerned, but if orders confirmed via email from Ford still might not be scheduled it's a significant flaw in the process. I'm fairly confident mine is OK since they took my driver's license and had me sign the order, but I'll have to check with the dealer to be sure.

The whole process is not customer friendly. My dealer was not on the up and up. When I asked about ROVP they simply sent me this screenshot. I never got an email from Ford. UGH! Does "unscheduled-clean" mean it was accepted? How is it I can track the tiniest of packages from overseas from the time I order it to the time it shows up at my door and my phone goes off to alert delivery me but I cannot seem to track an order on a 3500 plus pound truck? Here is a thought..the new buying process should skip the dealer and allow direct consumer spec and purchase! Pick up at some holding lot. A Carvana model for new vehicles. Avoid the silly $650 admin BS. $100 Nitrogen air tire fill and all the other dealer tricks to make money. Why are we forced to buy new cars in this very old model?????

Chill out bro your order was submitted and unscheduled-clean is a good thing. Honestly is kinda cool your dealer sent you that pic.

If you want to change the way automobile manufacturers operate you need to lobby your State Representatives to get the laws changed in your state because guess what bro. The way things are done now is out of Fords or any other car manufacturers hands including the beloved TESLA.

Every new car sold has to be done through a dealership. That's the law! Don't like it then get it changed!

Our dealer entered a COVP and when I showed him the Youtube video he investigated further and come to find out a COVD (Customer Order Confirmation) and he pulled the response they got from Ford it showed an ROVP numer and my information. Apparently what my dealer used created an ROVP

Same here, I ordered, signed the order, provided my license, received the email and still lost on if they did the ROVP. i called Ford Marketing and my maverick specialist said my order is processing/confirmed and the next step would be scheduling at some point. i asked if that meant Ford Accepted my order and no further action was needed on my part and she said yes, she could see my order. Sounds like a definite maybe.

That's the exact same response I got from Ford Marketing. I never received the email though.

Yes besides that way the dealer still gets his profit off you no matter what. Plus this way they have no worries that it will set on the lot waiting for a buyer😚

It might not be that cut an dried. You have to go way back in time to the 1950's and '60's to truly understand why we have to do things the way we do now.

Nolan from Donut Media did a great journalist piece on this a few months ago and IMO it's worth watching.

My dealer did everything the guy was talking about. I was the seventh person to place a Maverick order with this dealer, & they sold 2 stock units before that, being an EcoBoost low option order I may get it sooner than I thought. I was originally planning for March delivery.
