AND WHAT THE CRAP IS AN ACQUISITION FEE"!?!?!?

Calm down. The acquisition fee is if you lease, you can eliminate it on the B&P site by clicking on "customize payment" near the bottom of the summary, and selecting "finance" on the next page.

Ok. I'm calm. But the base price is still up $700 (not $445) from what I paid just 6 months ago. A week ago, I was defending Ford's increases between 2022 and 2025 citing pandemic, 20% inflation, added desirable accessories, and supply chain issues; but none of that has really been an issue in the last 6 months, and yet it somehow went up 2.4% in the middle of a Model Year. That's messed up.

Ford has had mid-year model markups every year unfortunately... But this one seems earlier than the previous ones.

I ordered my '25 Maverick in August and paid $32,990. I just built one with the exact same stuff, and it's $34,465! $1,500 more just 6 months later?!?! I get that they raised the price by $445 (the base is actually $700 higher than my August order), but this is $1,500 more!!!

AND WHAT THE CRAP IS AN ACQUISITION FEE"!?!?!? This wasn't on my order in August, but it sure is there now. I mean, I'm already paying the $1,595 to get it from Mexico to NC and $700 for documents to be filled out. What other acquisition needs to be done? Are they charging another $700 for me to drive on their lot and pick up my truck????

I've been thrilled with my last 3 purchases with Ford (2 Mavericks & my wife's Bronco Sport), but I'm starting to feel about car dealerships like I did before I got my '22 Maverick.

I think that fee might be something to do with if you lease through Ford.

You might have missed this price adjustment.

I think I figured it out.

This price increase is simply to pay for the 22-24s frozen camera recall.

Thanks to all the 25 owners taking one for the team ! Without you, our cameras would be frozen forever.

Is there any chance vehicles start getting cheaper? I was thinking passing on my order bc ev coming in few years. But if ev cars are 10k more expensive, then should just get one now and trade it in when time comes I think
Maybe break even?
nah, not cheaper though they might add some high profit - low cost - accessories/trim to make it look like you are 'getting something for your money'.

you wouldn't think that (likely) some software fix for a camera would take multiple months to fix and in the meantime causing 10s of thousands of them to be sitting on lots unable to sell but I'm sure Farley will have some rational answer for this.

I've never noticed any vehicle get cheaper unless it was a flop like the Yugo

Yugo’s wasn’t a flop. People brought them! A worker at work had twins starting, going to college, he brought 2…at $5,000 each.

The big flop was VW Golf cars. When mechanics called them “throw away” cars, people stop buying them.

I wondering the same thing about the $695, but it's for lease vehicles, not purchased vehicles. I couldn't get that out of the build program when I did mine.

I think Ford is trying to fix the problem with software but the issue is with hardware and would cost $$$ more to fix. IMO.
