I recently got a new phone. Every time I start the truck, it has forgotten the phone and asks if I have a phone I want to pair via bluetooth.

Has anyone else ever experienced this before? I did a full reset to factory settings on the Fordsync infotainment device, but that didn't help. 23 hybrid XLT. Thanks!

Correct. Welcome to the maverick stereo frustration club. So far I’ve tried just about everything, USB CarPlay adapter, etc. honestly turning Bluetooth off and just plugging in my phone directly has been the most consistent for music, calls and everything else. It’s annoying but it’s what we have.

23 hybrid as well.
Mine doesn't forget the phone every time but quite often. Probably some sort of dumb Ford programming glitch. When I go thru the phone menu on the Mav. it picks up the phone mostly on the 1st try.
I haven't tried to figure out a fix

Mine does this intermittently. I have an XL, so I am using a USB/Bluetooth/Wifi Carplay adapter. My iPhone connects to my PC via Bluetooth, and to my router via wifi, in order to transfer files, etc. My truck connects to my router via wifi also.

I suspect that there is a conflict between my Carplay adapter when I start my truck, and everything else. But, I could be wrong. Turning bluetooth on and off (and sometimes unplugging/plugging in my Carplay adapter), allows everything to connect.

But, yes, it's annoying.

Surprisingly I haven't experienced this with my 24 XLT. I frequently switch between my Samsung Galaxy s 22 ultra and my Pixel 9 pro XL.

The Maverick has recognized either one upon startup regardless. I did however get the rear backup camera not available message last night when I ran to the gas station, even though the backup camera was working when I put the truck in reverse just to check.

Same. No pairing problems with my XL with my Pixel or Samsung devices. Both running Android (of course).

I have a 2022 hybrid Lariat and never experienced this. Try pairing someone else's phone to your Maverick and see if it drops that phone as well.

Bluetooth is a protocol with pretty crappy 'standards'. Not all manufacturers needed to adhere to these standards but they still adopt the logo like they did.

Verify in phone settings auto connect is turned on, play music when driving is on. Choose connection preferences are proper. I believe use Bluetooth or Android Auto has to be on in truck settings. I just looked at my phone settings and I have three mavericks Bluetooth saved for auto connect one is for a maverick I sold, I think.
I forget, it's been so long ago but does the pairing have to be saved if you want it to keep paired? I know in truck you can tell which phone to pair if more than one is present.
