Apple CarPlay drops the song list almost every time I connect.

24 Lariat (Hybrid) with the B&O sound system and my song list is usually available the first time I try to access it, but it disappears and then only shows me a handful of songs to choose from? I have checked for any updates, and it says I am up to date. I have cold booted both the iPhone (iOS 17.4.1) and the Info system but it keeps happening? I am connecting via a cable. I might have to switch to the Bluetooth option, but I like other aspects of CarPlay that I will lose!

FWIW, Android Auto is worse (but I repeat myself). I could be playing a song on my phone when I plug in and it will still forget what I was playing.

Next time it happens I will try to remember this and see if it makes me feel any different.

FWIW, I do not have this problem using AA.

You might try a different cable.

You might ask your dealer about replacing the Audio Control Module. Although I didn’t have this exact issue, I had many other common ones (not connecting, freezing, dropping connection, etc.). It cleared up most of problems.

I wait until the unit is fully booted up before plugging in and I’d say it’s nearly issue-free now.

I will give this a try… I do tend to plug it in as it’s booting or before pushing the start button!
