Why dont people read Trumps book? The threat of Tarriff is for negotiating; If Mexico doesnt agree with the remain in Mexico for illegals, then you may see the start of some Tarrifs. If ford agrees to bring more production to US, Then they could get an exemption.
Stop worrying about price increases. They are the last thing Trump wants!

That’s not a guarantee, I had two increases while waiting and upon delivery it was pay the difference or it will be sold to someone else
If you had a signed DORA, then your dealer sucks. A reputable dealer will not charge you for price increases made AFTER the date of order... BTW that is Ford's policy on the subject, meaning anything the dealer charges over the initial MSRP at date of order is pure profit for said dealer, because the prices THEY pay Ford is also locked in at the time Ford acknowledges the order.

Hey!
He's originally a New York Business man..(everyone forgot "The Apprentice" already??) :ROFLMAO:
Well, ya got two weeks to see what happens... ;)

Jerry

A New York businessman who just happened to bankrupt most of his ventures, including a casino in Atlantic City...
I still can't understand how a CASINO goes bankrupt... Unless of course you're not that good at actually running a business.

And hence why I hate the credit score ... or as Ramsey would say, the "I love debt score" or something like that. The credit score is supposed to tell the lender how likely you'll be to pay off a debt. Pay off a mortgage, and you're dinged? Didn't you just prove you can pay off debts ... even the largest one that most people will ever have? How stupid is that?

But, my credit score is in the 800s and I payed off my mortgage 10 years ago and have had no other loans in an even longer period of time. To keep it high, I weekly pay my credit card so that the balance is always really low.

However, since current auto loans are greater than, for example, cd rates, I just payed in cash. When considering a certified used Honda recently they had 1.5% loans for them ... that I knew I could make easily money over a 3 year loan.
Good points! When wife and I were working on getting debt free, one trick we did was after we paid off a fairly nice vehicle, we continued to make payments. But, to our own high yield savings account. Kept making those car payments (to ourselves) for several years and when time came for new cars, we paid cash. Kept doing that for years, no more car payments. Our gained interest on that account (and another) was usually much more than we would save by a low finance offer.

I signed a bunch of e documents and they took 500 non refundable deposit. I like to think soemthing was agreed binding

but correct mainly dora strikes as main document w my license and signature
First dealer I went to demanded a $500 deposit. I walked. When I went in the door of the second dealer, the first two thing I said was, "No deposit, not a dime over sticker." Half hour later, my order went in. I got EXACTLY what I ordered, paid sticker, NOT $5000 to $10000 OVER AS SOME WERE DEMANDING, and NO DEPOSIT.
NEVER go in NEEDING a car. Go in knowing that the car you drove to the Stealership can be driven home again.

Believe what you want. The president can implement tariffs without Congress. He did it the last time. We don't know the details but it is coming. He can do this all by himself
You just admitted that we don't know the details. I never denied that he was going to implement tariffs. I said this thread is full of speculation (I stopped reading it after I made that post, but I'm responding to notifications that I've been quoted).

Give me a break. THIS is part of the Internet. There are reputable news sites on the internet as well as trash. You only hear what you want to hear.
...I agree that this is part of the internet. What i don't agree with is the part that said the tariffs are for sure...they aren't yet & may never be. I don't worry about what-ifs...let's be honest here, crying about a tariff on a brand new truck is a 1st world problem...either way, we'll all be ok....

Jesus is coming, too, but we also don't have the specifics on that, either. It's all speculation at this point.

All my dealers wanted full msrp, and couldn’t guarantee alocations and they wanted 1000 deposits, refundable.

granger 500 deposit, for 2500sh savings or so seemed worth it the risk.

to the fellow above about paying off mortgage, and then contributing into investment, I’m pulling a 3 year usaa loan and prob have paid off in next year. Then will do the same. Since mortgage wil be gone, will just triple payments on car til it’s killed off

All my local dealers got in 15+ mavericks, but every single ones are xl xlt and tremors.

why would they not order lariets? I asked and this dealer said, fleet vehicles primarily

Oh my God. 🤝 Finally someone else who understands the value of making car payments to yourself. I did that but started back in 1987. I had a 24-month loan on a brand new Taurus at 1.9% financing. I financed as much as I could. Due to the fact that I was doing fine making that car payment after I paid it off with Ford Motor Credit I told my credit union to deduct the same amount out of my check so I never saw it what right into my credit union account. I've always had the ability to pay cash I.E. self finance a vehicle. If I could get financing for less interest than what I was earning on my money I always used their money.
With an 850 FICO score you can usually negotiate some pretty good interest rates.

You just want to argue. He signed the EO yesterday. The details of how it will be implemented are unknown. Haven't you heard? He IS god
