Where are you mounting your phone in 2025 Maverick now that the cubby is gone?

I used to mount my phone in cubby section. Now I'm not sure where the best position would be :/

I’ve had Pro Clips with a ball mount in just about every car I have owned (currently a MagSafe wireless charger attached). Always like them because it wedges between the trim so you don’t have to drill any holes into the dash so simple to remove when it’s time to sell.

For the 25 Maverick the only one they have would be blocking the passenger vent which I’m not a fan of. With wireless CarPlay I don’t think I’m gonna bother mounting my phone and either just keep it in my pocket or in the center storage above the cup holders.

Yeah that's horrible I hate the ones over the vents makes me happier with my 24 even more. 😁👍

I'm much prefer the one mounted over radio cubby.

Problem with the vent mount is in winter, with the heat on, you're heating up the phone. Not good for battery life.

Why would you mount it anywhere? Leave it in your pocket or case.
Get one of those dongle devices, plug it in and the phone automatically connects to the screen.

Won't need the dongle for 2025's. Wireless car play and Andriod auto.

So instead of a $30 device they made it standard along with many other things that were either options or didn't exist for the 22 to 24 models and increased the price of the truck by how much? I'm glad I got mine when I did. For me it was a very economical purchase, it doesn't seem that way anymore.

Prices increase, you get more features. Tis life.

But those were the things - or lack of - that kept the price down.
When the 22 came out it was exciting to be able to get a new vehicle for $22,000, $23,000.
Then everybody kept asking for more and more and Ford did it.
Now at $30,000 plus it doesn't seem so exciting.

But I guess that market was tapped - the cheapskates - we got our $23,000 trucks . Now they are going after the kind of people who want more bells and whistles and will even pay more for certain colors of paint.

2022 was a very different time.

New vehicle, testing the market. They found the market, cornered it and now are charging accordingly. Still great value for what you're getting, imo. 250hp(EB), AWD, box, etc. Gone are the days of sub 23k vehicles, just the times we live in. Can't dwell on the past. Glad you got yours when you did!

I was never interested in a base model anyways, so the sub 23k truck was never interesting to me. I like my bells and whistles, and don't mind paying for some extra comforts. Ha
