Pro trailer assist a game changer 😀 ?
Maybe for those who tow regularly.
Even there, looking at what it does, when I towed regularly in my F150 backing up or hitching was 2nd nature after a few times, and that was with a fairly big trailer.

I was watching a guy demo the trailer hook up assist, and it seems a bit like the active park assist where it takes longer and more buttons to do that than just put it in reverse and get it done.

BUT, if that's a step to getting the button on your key fob... Where you can close up your trailer, hit the button and your ford will back up under it, and you can drop the hitch and go, without getting in your pickup to back up in the first place, that might be kinda neat.

With the larger screen, improved back up camera with hitch view, and 360 cameras I didn't mind that my job 1 Lariat came without it.

The advantage of reaching this age is that we can buy it just because we want it, or because it's shiny, and don't have to consider whether the kids need tuition, shoes, or dinner , . .

By 2028, maybe Ford will catch up with GM & Stellantis, and you'll be able to sit in the back seat and let the Maverick do what you need to do. . .

[hmm, ok, looks like the Maverick isn't equipped for blue cruise, anyway.]

We're ordering a maverick for my wife and an F-150 for me. We don't really need need them both, but we want them and we can.

Although I've never sold a car that was still running, I expect to trade the F-150 in for a plugin in '28 when the next generation comes out, and probably the maverick within a year or two after that.

The advantages of geezerhood!

now, can anyone suggest a perch for my pet dinosaur; he likes to ride in the bed with his head in the wind!
I'll take any leftovers.

The additional features in the 2025 really elevate the Maverick above entry level in my opinion and that’s not taking into account the AWD Hybrid drivetrain.

Sync 4 (even though itself is very dated) is a massive upgrade over the almost non-functional sync lite systems of XL and XLT and quite the improvement over Sync 3 for Lariats.

While people will either love or hate the larger screen combined with the 360 camera system that is technology that is much improved over the fuzzy (if even functional) rear camera.

For Hybrids - the additional of a larger AGM battery and the upgraded CV axles address the two largest issues with the Maverick.

Ford didn’t know a market existed for the Maverick when they brought it to production and it entered the market as the entry level affordable pick up. Due to COVID shortages, demand, dumb luck, and/or solid execution Ford has a winner on their hands.

They began raising prices during 2022 and kept it up through 2024. The 2023s and 2024s are functionally identical to the 2022s and to me that’s not attractive at all with the price increases.

The 2025s mark an inflection point or maturity point for the Maverick. The market has been set and the Maverick has the room to become a more sophisticated vehicle.

While 2025-2027 is an improvement it’s just a step forward in the vehicles maturation process.

In 2028 you can expect even more “luxuries” and the Maverick to more further away from the concept of an entry level pick up and I welcome it.
It was actually a $26-$28k pickup with 20% off introductory pricing. Ford has about fixed that and by 2028 will have your desired truck. I originally ordered a 22 XLT lux and when in Feb 22 a first edition lariat was refused and became available, I took it and financed OTD 100% at 2.25%. The XLT eventually came in, paid cash and I still have it. FYI = if you keep your maverick for many years be sure to consider having replacement cost rider on your collision. If your mave gets totaled the rider will allow the replacement to be substituted with a two year old one (normally just check rider fine print to be sure).

Yes it does. And step two will be the BCM software fix coming shortly.

but if you don’t have a 2025 you got a 45ah lead acid battery that is contributing to your issues.
Or if your dealer replaced your's with the BXT99RT4 MAX series like mine did you will have a larger ah and more Reserve Capacity.

Amen to that.
As a matter of fact, the bigger screen eliminates a place for me to mount my phone or Garmin GPS.
I use a real GPS because,
Cell service is intermittent where we live.
Same. I use the cubby for mounting my GPS. The Garmin RV GPS is much better when towing. Also don't like the lack of knobs for the climate controls on the '25. The Mabett phone/GPS holder for the cubby works great.

No one can possibly beat the 1.24% interest rate my credit union gave me with my '22 XLT Maverick!
When I ordered my 2022 mav, Ford was giving a "0"% interest rate, that beats your 1.25%.

One dealer quote 2000.00 msrp . Another offered invoice, so about 1500 off.
With the exception of the bigger radio screen, the 2024 is a much better fit for me. I picked mine maxed out of XLT options with a $4k off of sticker price.

Do you have any data to backup the 2025 Ecoboost improvements ? Do you know long-term how those changes will impact its reliability etc ?
Ecoboost vastly improved on the 2025 LOL. Actually, it got castrated (-20HP and -5LB of torque)

Not according to Ford engineers. According to @fordvideoguy, Ford engineers have retested the 25 EcoBoost engine and there was no loss on HP or torque.

I didn't want hybrid, but actually needed AWD, I snagged a 2024 on 12/31/24 and I love it.
Lariat, Hot Pepper red, loaded with useless options.
Saved a bunch on a 2024 over a 2025.
Didn't like the larger center screen of the 25 and IMO the front end of the 25 looked kinda like an EV.
not a fan of the 25's head light look.
I'm loving my '24 Lariat AWD!
