What are the improvements 2025 over the 2024?

A resigned engine for the EcoBoost (including a direct and port fuel injection), Sync 4 (has many enhancements over sync 3) with a bigger screen and pro trailer assist package for Lariat trim (game changer imho) are some of the major changes.

I didn't want hybrid, but actually needed AWD, I snagged a 2024 on 12/31/24 and I love it.
Lariat, Hot Pepper red, loaded with useless options.
Saved a bunch on a 2024 over a 2025.
Didn't like the larger center screen of the 25 and IMO the front end of the 25 looked kinda like an EV.
not a fan of the 25's head light look.

Invoice only about $600-800 discount.

I think you’ll be able to get even better deals once the hold is up because they are last years model and pre refresh.

I wouldn’t buy a 2024 when the ecoboost in the 2025 is vastly improved.

Do you have any data to backup the 2025 Ecoboost improvements ? Do you know long-term how those changes will impact its reliability etc ?

I pulled out of my 2025 hybrid AWD order as well. The suppressed trade in values on my 2023 fx4 with the open recall, the increased price, the huge downgrade in buttons/over reliance on the infotainment were all too much to justify the 7% interest rates for. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one as I've been bummed (but confident) in my decision to stick with my '23. Thanks for the company in my misery

If it wasn't for the hybrid/AWD combo on the '25, I would have preferred the '24 as well.

The additional features in the 2025 really elevate the Maverick above entry level in my opinion and that’s not taking into account the AWD Hybrid drivetrain.

Sync 4 (even though itself is very dated) is a massive upgrade over the almost non-functional sync lite systems of XL and XLT and quite the improvement over Sync 3 for Lariats.

While people will either love or hate the larger screen combined with the 360 camera system that is technology that is much improved over the fuzzy (if even functional) rear camera.

For Hybrids - the additional of a larger AGM battery and the upgraded CV axles address the two largest issues with the Maverick.

Ford didn’t know a market existed for the Maverick when they brought it to production and it entered the market as the entry level affordable pick up. Due to COVID shortages, demand, dumb luck, and/or solid execution Ford has a winner on their hands.

They began raising prices during 2022 and kept it up through 2024. The 2023s and 2024s are functionally identical to the 2022s and to me that’s not attractive at all with the price increases.

The 2025s mark an inflection point or maturity point for the Maverick. The market has been set and the Maverick has the room to become a more sophisticated vehicle.

While 2025-2027 is an improvement it’s just a step forward in the vehicles maturation process.

In 2028 you can expect even more “luxuries” and the Maverick to more further away from the concept of an entry level pick up and I welcome it.

There are actually not many used hybrids for sale around me, and I 100% guarantee you a dealers low ball offer because of the "recall" will result in them putting it up for sale on their lot for 100%+ used retail value. They are using the recall to lowball on purpose.

Good call on passing but don't fall for dealers games.

Also be aware of dealers using KBB as trade in value. Those values are outdated and often thousands less than actual values. Case in point I was recently offered a sell / trade in to us at 4k over KBB good condition trade in value....not a Ford dealer and appraised in person. It all depends on how shady a dealer is.

I sold my ‘24 XL AWD and I’m passing on my ‘XL 25 hybrid AWD since I stumbled into a gladiator for $21K off so $40K for a brand new ‘23 rubicon this past August and the ‘25 hybrid would have been $30K

It's your choice, think of the Maverick you passed on, everytime you stop to gas up!

Can't believe how many Broncos were at my local dealer last week - Sitting , nicely washed, ready to roll just need someone to part with $58k + -)

We got our 2022 Lariat/Lux/FX4/4K tow/Moon-roof for $35 ish - The creature comforts were totally worth it for us but now higher end builds are easily $5k more.

Being an old man I never liked the smaller screen and I do use my apple car play more than I thought so ordered a 25 for the bigger screen, 360 camera, sync 4 and EB enhancements. This will be my 4th Maverick and probably my last so thought I would treat myself to some of the extra options.

When was younger I probably would of chuckled to see an old geezer spend an extra 9k something he didn't really need.

Now I will put my old geezer hat on and say I doubt a lot of these young pups sold their last 4 trucks for a profit and made enough to cover that 9k plus some.
