Cheap auto-dimming, homelink mirror

Just purchased this for under $20 for anyone else interested. This seems to be a pretty generic gentex mirror that comes standard on numerous vehicles. Auto-dimming, homelink, compass.

Don’t know anything about these mirrors, but won’t you need a power source for this? Is there a plug and play option for this in the cluster on the windshield?

Will it work ( auto dim and compass) in a Mav or is it just to buy cuz its cheap?

Will have to pull power from fuse panel.

Yes all features will work when powered.

I'm buying one. I assume there is power close by. All my other vehicles have homelink and the garage door works with it.

Yes all features will work when powered.

Don't need to pull power from the fuse panel you can easily tap a 12v source (like the overhead lights that are right there) and splice into it. Very easy.

Can't believe the price of the mirror though. These usually go upwards of $250.

Lol. You’re absolutely right. I was forgetting the tap lights up there.

Looks like a clearance item as fitment shows KIA OPTIMA 2011-2015 and source appears to be KIA PARTS.

Has anyone actually installed this mirror? It was my understanding that the design of the camera unit in the windshield was going to be an issue for any auto-dimming mirror.

Also the price on the unit is now $11. I bought one as well. Can't beat it, and can resell even if it doesn't work on the Maverick.

I did some reading and this mirror is quite universal. People have reported installing with no issues from Honda Accords, to Toyota Camrys, to F150’s. For under $20 it’s worth a try for me.

I don't actually believe it will work with the forward facing camera module.. but I certainly hope I'm wrong.

I have a Lariat Lux with ACC and I don't see any camera on my mirror or wiring going to it.
