Were you able to access the 2025 owners manual with your VIN? My 2025 Lariat is scheduled for 1/13/2025 also and when I tried to access an owners manual I got a msg that said that it wasn't available for my VIN.

Was curious about a couple things and will keep looking. One of the interesting things I noticed is the new 2.0 Ecoboost has a 6.1qt oil capacity and uses a new FL-2127 oil filter. That really drove my curiosity so I started digging and it looks like these new filters are about the same size as Ford had been using, but they use metric threads and a much higher bypass valve setting. So I dug a little deeper and it looks like they are basically the same filter as Ford has been using on the V6's and V8's, only smaller. Share the same threads and specs, except size. Probably will be some confusion at first with a 2.0 Ecoboost that uses a different filter, but hopefully no availability issues.

Just read the flat (recreational) towing section (Hybrid AWD). Hybrid AWD not flat towable? I was under the impression it was going to be. Maybe I missed something.

I also recall assurances it was - but page 325 states a big no For Hybrid AWD

Thanks for the confirmation, that is what I read also. I had contemplated a 2025 AWD Hybrid, won't / can't do now as we tow behind the motor home. Come on Toyota!

Interesting that they now explicitly provide instructions on how to disable the seatbelt chimes and warnings. We had to use ForScan to reliably get that to work for 2022-2024 model years. Some claimed the method that is now in the 2025 manual worked on 2022-2024, but it seemed to be really intermittently successful (if ever).

Has anyone figured out what the button next to the credit card slot on the lower console does.

From the interior 360 of the Lariat AWD Hybrid I ordered I see the traction control button (maybe the auto hold) and a blank since it looks like they moved drive modes up to the steering wheel.

not sure but you’re correct the drive mode is on the steering wheel now

You are correct on that! I used Forscan to shut off all the crap like that. I don't need to be told to buckle up! I always do.

good finds so far on the oil filter and capacity, and especially the hybrid awd flat tow. I think there are people who have ordered hybrid awd who intend to flat tow and as it currently stands, the manual says you can't do it (unless there's an emergency and you keep the speed under 35mph).

I went looking for Lobo drive mode and learned something interesting. Ford's lawyers specifically state that Lobo mode is for closed circuits only:

This mode increases accelerator pedal responsiveness. Traction and stability controls are set to their least invasive settings for optimal vehicle control. The system delays transmission shifting to maximize low end torque. Use this mode for Spirited closed course driving.

Note: Four-wheel drive (4WD) is the default four-wheel drive mode.

Note: This mode is for closed course use only and is not for use on public roads. This feature disables brake over accelerator systems.
There are also notes about eco and sport drive modes for FX4 and Tremor. Previously those models did not have eco or sport mode. Mud/ruts and sand drive modes are now gone, replaced with 'offroad'. That is weird to me because sand drive mode allowed a lot of wheelspin, which is obviously very useful in sand and conditionally useful in mud.

I'll be curious to see YouTube channels testing and talking about these new drive modes. Oh, almost forgot about the brake-over-accelerator mentioned above.

BRAKE OVER ACCELERATOR
In the event the accelerator pedal becomes stuck or entrapped, apply steady and firm pressure to the brake pedal to slow the vehicle and reduce engine power. If you experience this condition, apply the brakes and bring your vehicle to a safe stop. Move the transmission to park (P), switch the engine off and apply the parking brake. Inspect the accelerator pedal for any interference. If none are found and the condition persists, have your vehicle towed to the nearest authorized dealer.
Essentially, Lobo and off-road drive modes enable you to drive with 2 feet. If you are not in those drive modes it looks to me like the system is going to reduce power anytime you try to brake and gas at the same time.
