FINALLY!! An upcoming 12v battery fix for hybrids!!!

Some 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles equipped with 2.5L full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) powertrain may experience an intermittent 12V battery drain condition when the ignition is turned off. If the 12V battery drains, perform a 12V power reset to the vehicle by disconnecting the 12V battery negative cable for 5 minutes. Fully charge the 12V battery and use the Rotunda GRX-3590 or DCA-8000 tester to determine if replacement is needed. If replacement is needed, fully charge the new battery and perform a battery monitor sensor (BMS) reset. Engineering is currently working on a software solution for this condition that is expected in the first quarter of 2025. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

My truck is out of warranty Jan 2025, I hope it's a free program and I don't have to pay...

Hopefully it's something like a CSP for current owners. I just had my first battery replaced the other day because it failed and kept going into Deep Sleep / Battery Saver often. Wonder if we'll have to actually have it occur again or if they will just allow the update for impacted VINs.

I'm in a similar boat to you although my 3yr runs out in March. Fingers crossed this actually helps whenever it's available.

We bit the bullet and will be getting rid of our 2022 hybrid and replacing with a 2025 Mav hybrid, starting the warranty over. Hopefully the issue will be a moot one then but I will still carry the jump charger at all times just to be sure.

Hello, I’m doing same as you. Got my 2022 hybrid month before you. I ordered a 2025. Are you trading yours in or selling out right? Not sure which to do?

On my second 12v battery for my 22 hybrid. Glad they are working on a software fix.

About a month ago I got quotes from the major services that buy vehicles and they were attractive. We'll look to trade it in sometime in Dec and hope the quotes are still as good then. Didn't bother asking the Ford dealer since I would likely get a lowball number from them.

I'm doing the same thing Chuck & Scout. Since I only fill up gas every other week now, I've been putting $90/month in an investment account, so I'll have a bunch of money to apply to the new vehicle along with my equity from the '22 Maverick.

Carvana said they'd give me $24k for it with 40k miles on it; I paid $26k out the door for it. Hopefully the bottom doesn't fall out of the Maverick market before I get my '25.

Is yours scheduled to be built? If so, when?

Anyone with a newer eco boost experience this battery saver mode? Mine is only 6 months old and just started since it got colder.
