I received it while camping last Saturday, but I finally had the time and break from rain to get it done this morning.

Considering I had already removed the under-felt to begin with, it was super simple. After reading some of the comments in various threads on here there were a few things going into this that I was aware of and made it much easier.

The provided clips for the rear that fit into the slide-in slots require being inserted backwards. I had to triple curl the tails and insert those first and curl around to the reference hole for that they were supposed to be inserted through. It was no issue and I got it done just fine, because I had read about it prior.

The images provided are of the EB undercarriage (obviously) and there were a few differences that took a couple moments to reevaluate.

The front clips were the worst of the 4, because the plate had to be held up while also holding the clip down, while also threading the bolt in. I had my partner crawl under beside me and hold it up for me, which was a great help and I thanked her for that. Someone elsewhere suggested using the jack next time to hold it well supported, which was a great idea that I would like to share with y'all.

Overall, I am incredibly pleased. I have read the threads about oil changes with the hybrid and am aware of what I need to do.

I will be removing the plate entirely, and doing my own oil change, then installing the ValvoMax drain system to replace the OEM drain cap, so that I can do oil changes without spilling on the plate like that one unfortunate soul. May just get a funnel and do it that way rather than removing the plate, just to be certain I don't lose more clips while doing it (of the 8 supplied, and 4 required, I have 1 left because I did eff up on my own too)

Overall it was about 35 mins or so, incredibly easy, I assume if I had not torn off half of my felt by being silly, it would have been more of a pain to get off than this plate to get on.

100% recommend and hopefully a few things here can help the next person.

@RIVAL 4x4 please include us Hybrids prior to '25 in the floor skid plates. I really need them. I want better, quieter camping, and this truck has done lots for me already, but things are being rubbed. I know it will be a small market but I would pay extra if I need to be one of the few to get a pre '25 hybrid floor skid set. Please include us I really like this product and would like more, I will not be selling this truck anytime soon and would rather give you more money.

Edit to add: do not use the factory clips, they are not very good, just use the ones that are provided and either figure out fishing line like many do or otherwise bend it in a way and support the plate by other means so you can get the thread started. Trust me, you DON'T want the factory clips holding this on.

Looks really nice.. I'd love to have one but can't justify it as I do not off-road.

That's certainly fair!

The last winter that I had my escape for there was a pretty bad storm on my way home, there was a big chunk of ice or shit off of someone's wheel well and it tore the entire felt off and nearly pushed up into the engine... that won't happen with 1/4" aluminum under there

What's the difference between the one you installed versus the one they are going to release?

I haven't installed a floor skid, the only ones on the market are not compatible with the Hybrid, because of the difference under the passenger side, I assume.

What I have installed is an engine skid plate which is 1/4" aluminum rather than the 1/8" felt that's there

So, all I have is the factory felt / cardboard / whatever and it has been rubbed a couple times, not enough to damage the felt or mark anything underneath, but enough to have ripped a couple of the holes in the felt from their clips because there's no actual grommet, it's just the felt material holding it on there with no more reinforcing than a stamped crimp in the material.

I would like to have something that is more protective as I do not live in a world where perfectly paved roads are guaranteed, and, seemingly, when I travel into the big city the roads are somehow just as bad if not worse, not to mention again, the aforementioned camping desires

I just want more peace of mind for my adventures and daily commute, etc

Now I see. I also have a pre-facelift hybrid and this is something I would be interested in as well.

It's honestly such a great idea. Even if you intend to do no rugged or gravel road driving at all, there's always actual road quality and the fact of road debris that needs to be considered, in my opinion

We have a lot of exposed and expensive hardware down there if the felt is ripped away for any reason

Not that a skid plate would help in this scenario, but, one time, there was a full clawfoot bathtub upside down on the highway shortly after a hill crest... thankfully I had time to avoid it but you literally never know what might not be seen or noticed and I'd rather have the assurance of safety

The engine skid alone offers so much peace of mind, but I'd rather the whole undercarriage be covered, at least for critical components

Sometimes you just can't avoid debris in the road. Especially if it is kicked over by a car in the other lane. Leaving you no time to react or a dangerous situation if you react at highway speeds, such as swerving or Panic braking.
Sometimes you have to suck it up and take it down the middle, hoping for the best.
Stay safe.

That's exactly right! I'm very fortunate to have had my incidents be few and far between
