I never think I have much done to my truck until I see a stock Maverick and realize how different mine actually is, so I guess it's time I start my own build thread.

I ordered my truck Dec. 1st 2021, and it was delivered on July 21st, 2022. I'm super happy that I went with the Velocity Blue before it got discontinued. I named her Mia because one weird thing that I do is name all my vehicles in alphabetical order lol, so "M" was next on the list.

Since Ford (at this time) still hadn't come out with an "ST" version I wanted to build a Maverick "Sport" almost as it had come from the factory that way.

First thing I had done was Steeda Lowering Springs (For a 2020+ Escape, since there were no springs for the Maverick available at that time) Steeda Strut Tower Brace, & Rear Sway Bar. This was done about 2 days after I bought my truck, so I barely even know what it was like driving it stock.

I had pretty much all the parts ready to go when my truck showed up. Rear spoilers, hood scoop, Tonneau Cover, etc. I was debating on whether I wanted to paint the hood scoop to match or leave it black. I ended up painting it to match and am super glad that I did.

I did some test fitting with it, and ended up putting on the hood decal in the meantime until I could get it painted, as well as throwing on the Maverick badges on the back which should have honestly just come from the factory that way. I also thew on the "Sport" badge in black in place of the AWD badge it had.

Next up was getting rid of the God-awful Java Brown seats the Lariat comes with. It definitely does not go well with Velocity Blue. I absolutely love how these Katskinz came out and they have been great, super comfortable seats.

I actually got so used to the black decal on the hood that I almost didn't put the hood scoop on, I really loved the way it looked. But I had a plan in mind...

Next up I hit the track! And the Maverick did amazing around the track with the Steeda setup. I placed second in my class that day (out of 2 vehicles 😅 but the other was an Audi TT)

Then came one of my favorite mods to my truck, the Bronco Sport Gauges, which I still love to this day.

Hood scoop and roof spoiler had finally gotten painted and were ready for install. I absolutely love the way they look on the Maverick and couldn't be happier with the Velocity Blue, and the stripe peeking out from under the hood. The stripe peeking kind of gives the illusion that the scoop is bigger than it really is.

A few small mods I had done in the interim. Fixed the TSR (Traffic Sign Recognition 🚥) on the instrument cluster, added some Maverick pedal covers,

Tinted the chrome on the taillights with some vinyl tint I had gotten off of Ebay. The tint isn't super dark and my reverse lights still work great.

I hated the black chrome Maverick lettering from Ford, so I ended up swapping it out for matte black raised letters.

My favorite mod was the Magnaflow exhaust that my buddy had given me. I didn't care for the exhaust because it had changed the tone of the exhaust but I wasn't any louder than stock, and I definitely wanted it louder. So I hacked it up, cut the muffler out, and straight piped it after the cat. I absolutely love the way it sounds.

I really wanted it to go out on the drivers side, but I routed it out the passenger side because the fuel and brake lines ran underneath the driver side and didn't want to cause any issues.

I didn't care for how the exhaust tips looked because they ended up flipped upside down with how I routed the exhaust, so it wasn't long until I swapped it out for a single tip chrome exhaust which matched the truck much better.

I also got my Bulletpoint mounting system installed and tucked the wiring for my phone charger, radar, and radar mute button behind the stereo.

Once we got to North Carolina I was able to install my S&B cold air intake (sounds great with my Steeda BOV, which I also installed the day I got the truck)

I was able to pick up a Climate Control module from a 2020 Escape pretty cheap on Ebay which gave me the digital temperature display and just looks much better in general.

And just last week I got my bed decals in from Ford Performance which I have wanted for a while now, and was happy that Ford started offering them separately (they were originally only available with the Ranger Ford Performance packs)

Now I need to get my VelossaTech snorkels installed, as well as the custom grille I'm planning on fabricating (since no one makes an aftermarket grille that works with the ACC)

I'm planning on getting coilovers soon to lower the truck just a tad more, and a tune. I've been hoping that Ford will come out with a factory tune for it, but after SEMA '23 I'm thinking that's not going to happen, so I'm thinking that I might go with the Livernois tune.

Boy that looks nice! ! ! Was the climate control hard to change ? Plug and play ? Also do the pedal covers extent the pedals alittle, I could use an inch for making it easier to get in and out. Also where did you get the black mat for the hood and scoop ? Thanks I love your upgrades

How did you do the climate control swap? Is there a certain model from the escape that works best? I've been looking into the same thing but it seems as though the escape module has a different bevel and mounting points unless the bevel comes off? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also, great work!
