Kicker Key Amp Mounting Bracket Model [3D Print File]

I had unknowingly been receiving PMs for years on making Kicker Key Mounting Brackets for behind the glove box. Somewhat recently @Milous got in touch with me to have one made. I mocked up a new and stronger model and sent one over to him for confirmation on fit. I don't plan on personally making these anymore, but I wanted to make the model available for anyone interested. I highly recommend ABS or better unless you live in mild climates.

I don't plan on making money from this in anyway, just helping my Maverick people out.

It’s for mounting a Kicker brand stereo amplifier behind the glove box.

I second the choice of ABS. I had to have my bracket made, but even the original "unreinforced" model has been doing great. I used big flat washers to get as much support at the bolt slots as I could.

Anyone make a bracket like this for the Puzu PZ-C7 amp that many of us are using?

The footprint of the Puzu is over an inch taller than the Kicker amp, so at that point it would hang down in front of the cabin air filter if mounted behind the glovebox.

That's a tough one due to both the size and having plugs on both sides latitudinal.

Man, I could have really used one of these about ten months ago. I ended up gluing a piece of aluminum to the airbox.

Not answering for OP, but if nothing else, you can take that .stl file and have it printed by an online vendor, too. You can pick what material you want (I concur with the ABS recommendation) and they will ship you the final product. It is going to be more expensive than a hobbyist since it is a business, but I had good luck with www.xometry.com.

I had no idea. Is this common in your area? I just googled and my local city does not. But if I travel 60 miles, the nearest library that does have 3D printing only does PLA printing and they only allow the use of their own filament.
