I was debating to myself on if I should post this here. Some of you are going to be glad I'm having fun actually off roading my Tremor. Some others will scold me for taking chances on tearing it up. Guess what? I had fun and I didn't tear anything up ... luckily hehe

The only other time I got stuck was in some snow, off roading with some buddies in the Sierras. They just hooked up a rope and pulled me out. Easy peasy :) This is the second time I got stuck. We were on our own and had to figure it out ourselves. I got it stuck pretty bad climbing a sand hill near my house. We tried a log and cement block under the tires and did some digging but we were sure is was on the belly pretty much the full length of the truck. He wanted to try the old strap-a-log-to-the-rim trick but since all the tires and suspension is still stock, we were sure a log would catch a quarter panel this way. So, he tried strapping a smaller log to the underside of the tire, instead of the outside of the wheel, kind of like a tire boot. It climbed right out after we did that. It was amazing. My brother decided to record a quick little video right after we got out of the holes we dug, as he guided me to ease back slowly just enough to untie the little log :)

I think your LogTrax worked great, fun post!
Great thinking of an "out of the box a bit" solution to a self-extraction situation.

You may hear grumping (maybe because you are having so much fun?), but really....no one is getting hurt or doing stupid stuff so good on you!

And now I have another idea of a new way to get out of a stuck situation.

Sand or snow, stuck is stuck if you are sitting on your belly, so it would be no problem coming up with a couple small, therefore easily packable items to replicate this in the winter (for me or someone else...I seem to end up helping a lot of other people get unstuck and I can't do the shoveling any more).

Thanks for the great video and idea to possibly add to my own safety gear thread, once I figure out what to use.

This maybe a testament to how well this 'not locking' rear differential actually locks. That cement block under the front tire was just there as a remnant of us trying previous ways of getting unstuck. 100% of the torque needed to initially get the truck lifted off the belly and out of those holes was done with just that one rear tire through the 'not locking' locking rear differential. There were no sticks or stones or anything on the passenger side at all

The items would start as maybe a rope with a hook attachment at one end and a 2× 6 cut to proper length so it wouldn't catch...and then go from there with idea development.

Some trips to the local hardware store and browsing the aisles could generate some easy on-off articles when in a pinch...

Has to be safe, and not come off under duress of course.

I was thinking more of one of those small wheel chocks that are made of plastic that have (or make) holes through the middle but at 4x4 or 2x6 or something like that would work as well. 2x6 would be good because you may have to worry less about it coming around and grabbing the fender well :)
