Are the markers tied to the headlights or do they run all the time? Never thought to look.
On my 23 Tremor, the side marker lights are only on when the headlights are activated. I have my headlight switch set in the "automatic" setting.

Gotcha. So, it might make more sense to tie the light bar to the markers. Willing to bet they are less sensitive to current draw.

I didn’t think that the LED strip and grill lights would draw enough amps to cause a problem. Again, start up with both is not a problem. It is keeping them on That is.

Actually, I have two wiring harnesses with relays that I’ll be using for a 10” light bar and two 3” LED pods I’m mounting in the lower grill. I also have a two gang, five pole switch panel I intend to mount to the left of the steering wheel for controlling these. This will be my first use of relays.

I want both the strip and Raptor lights to come on with the OEM parking lights. Can I achieve that by tapping into the parking light hot wire where your diagram shows a grounded switch?

Thanks to all that have replied.
Consider that a circuit is designed to run a specific number of say lights that will in total draw from x to y amps (if bulbs are changed or something added or subtracted which causes a draw outside of this x to y range the computer will assume that a bulb has burned out or a short is occuring and will takes steps as programmed) therefore you cannot add or delete current draw from that circuit. A separate circuit should be used.

I have experienced this with non Ford brands when adding trailer hitch and lighting, when tying into the Turn/Tail lights. Last one I did, they would work for a few seconds and then stop. It was the computer recognizing too much draw and shutting off the light. Computer was only shutting off the light that was tied into, instead of all of the lights if the fuse blew. In my instance, the key didn't need to be cycled, it would try again every time the pedal was pressed or the turn signal would turn on. Brake lights would turn on for about a second and the turn signals would flash 3 times. I ran a fused wire from the battery and a relay and everything worked fine after that.

I had this exact same problem. The strip would work at first then go out. I tried different grounding options with no luck. I finally just gave up and pull the strip off.

I tapped my LED light strip to my front turn signals instead of the lower parking lights. It did exactly the same. When I first unlock or start the truck, the LED strip would turn on and do its scanning but then go out after the scanning was finished. I noticed that the turn signals would also do the same thing (turn on briefly and then go out even though the DRLs were working). I manually turned on each of the turn signals and they worked just fine, but would not stay on as parking lights. If I manually turned on my headlights, the turn signals would come on along with the LED light strip and then go out.

I checked my power and ground, but they were fine. I tried using Forscan to change some settings involving the DRLs and parking lights. No difference. Then I decided to test if it had something to do with the stock non-LED turn signal bulbs. I ordered some LED switch back turn signal bulbs and replaced the stock bulbs. Bingo! Now, the LED light strip turns on/scans and stays on whenever my headlights turn on in auto mode. It also turns on/scans and stays on if I manually turn on the parking lights.

My answer - I have a two gang toggle switch panel I had planned on using for a light bar and several LED pods mounted to the front grill. Im only holding this Maverick until my MY 24 comes in. So i‘ll forego mounting the pair of pods and instead run from the interior fuse box to one of the switches and control the Raptor lights from the panel. The under hood light will remain tied to the parking light circuit. Not what I wanted, but I can deal with it in order to have both light fixtures available After having installed them.

Since you have a hybrid, I suspect that your next issue may be "why is my truck constantly going into deep sleep?" I get that every couple of days if I don't drive my 2023 Lariat Hybrid. Those Ford 12 volt batteries are known to not be strong.

I had that problem with my first Maverick. A new 12V battery and some black magic with computer resets by the dealer solved the problem.
