I had to clean more than just the plastics so to give you an idea I will cover a few areas. Mostly time and elbow grease. Example, trunk was stripped. Vacuumed first. Wipe it all down with damp soapy rag and this gets it back to a clean original look. Soak trunk carpet on driveway, spray soap on it, sweep it around with a broom, spay it all off, hang it up to dry. Trunk plastic trim I used Armoral which I already had. Soak it well, let sit, wipe it dry. Only spent 3.5 hours just on the trunk. Get the idea? I logged my time, so far 20.5 Hours. What products did you use? To detail your plastic interior/exterior? I *need* to know![]()
For spots on seats, I already had some foam cleaner you get at a auto parts store. Spray, brush with stiff brush, wipe dry with clean towel. Repeat. Change towel often so you don't rub dirt into clean area. Glass cleaner is 1/2 alcohol and distilled water. I've used Armoral for years so had that around for the plastic after washing it with soapy rag and drying it. Better stuff exists I'm sure.
Lots of YouTube videos with more specific brands and techniques are out there. My method works for me. I put in the time with much effort, never rush.
disclaimer: this is what I did and use. I don't need posts telling me I did it wrong or should have used xyz products. At 73 years old and owned 106 vehicles I have learned how to drive exceptionally clean cars and motorcycles.
