The DRL’s are the low beams. You can turn them on or off in the settings menu between the gauges.

If I recall correctly it is like this:

The amber lights are the DRLs for the XL & XLT - this picture is of someone pressing unlock (which turns on DRLs)
Yes configurable in the menu. The DTRL are low beam on my XLT lux.The DRL’s are the low beams. You can turn them on or off in the settings menu between the gauges.
Not soXLT has no DRLs
Now that is helpful and perfect for me. I've never modded a car, so I'm looking to start as small as possible. They sell inline ones that are super easy. They plug in between the bulb and the factory plug
Are they literally just the regular headlights on 24/7? Or are they at a reduced intensity?Yes configurable in the menu. The DTRL are low beam on my XLT lux.
If they are at a different intensity than the regular low beam the difference cannot be detected by eye. On mine they look identical to the low beams. Are they literally just the regular headlights on 24/7? Or are they at a reduced intensity?
Because it's the internet. Why are people answering with incorrect answers ?

And they reply like they are stating facts. It's so weird. Why are people answering with incorrect answers ?
On my base Escape, as I said it is a similar system. The DRL's are the low beams at a lower intensity. Not sure how they turn on with the Maverick, but on my Escape I set the headlight switch to the automatic mode to turn on the DRL's. I have a light sensor on the top of my dash under the windshield. If I leave the headlight position in the auto mode, the DRL's will be on until the light sensor detects it is dark then it will turn the headlights on full power and all the parking lights. The headlights in DRL mode don't look any less bright than the headlights at regular, but they are. In the daytime when I have them on and drive all the way into my garage, about 3 feet from the back wall, I can see the headlights brighten to full strength against the wall. My garage must be just dark enough in the daytime to trigger the light sensor. Not a huge difference, but enough to tell. I'd estimate in DRL mode the headlights dim by about 20%.If they are at a different intensity than the regular low beam the difference cannot be detected by eye. On mine they look identical to the low beams.
As someone posted there is an option you can access and I believe he is correct that you can turn them off. My amber lights are not the DRL.
So whats the correct answer? XL and XLT DRL is lowbeams? Why are people answering with incorrect answers ?

Since when? They have been mandatory in Canada, but not in the USA unless something has changed since I bought my new 2019 Hyundai. All cars are required to have DRL’s, and in the case of the. L and XLT it is the amber turn signal lights.
