Wiring rear dash cam

Does anyone know if you can pull down the center of the headliner near the rear window so i can put the extra wire in there . Is there clips or something don't want to damage headliner. I have power slider and having problem tucking wire in. Thanks

Yes use a trim tool to route the wire through the 3rd brake light to get the camera outside

The wire runs along the top along the headliner there is no wire near bottom of dash

Fish tape would work. Pop 3rd brake light and run the fish tape up front, attach and pull it back. drop the wire behind the headliner and replace 3rd brake light? worked for me.

The rear camera wiring for the connection plug is short so having the extra wiring bundled under the rear section of the headliner is convenient and cleaner there’s plenty of room and there’s no additional clutter under the dash just my opinion - I ran the camera wire down the A-pillar and along the bottom door trim

I ran mine under the rubber door seal next to the headliner all the way back using a plastic trim tool and bundled the extra wire behind plastic trim behind rear seat. No tearing anything apart and took 10 min.. Not sure whether you are mounting inside back window like I did or using an outside type.

Mine was installed inside (can’t be outside, so I ran the extra cable in the rear column. Then I ran just enough along the top of the window to put the camera right along the top.

I used this 3D Printed Camera Mount on the outside that connects to the 3rd brake light without any modifications requirements

That mount has been solid and works perfect for me. I still appreciate you sharing that before. Keeps the camera dry in the rain too.
