The wireless phone charging works with my iphone 12 pro max fine. Don’t use it though because of it being plugged into carplay.Has anyone tried out the wireless charging feature? How did it work?
What phones have you used it for, and what case do they have? The wireless charger worked good.
You can't. Wireless charging is available only in the Lariat Lux package.I might add the wireless charger to my XLT if not to pricey
I know it isn’t available by Ford, doesn’t mean I can’t install it my self. I will enjoy the function as I won’t have my phone plugged in often for CarPlay. You can't. Wireless charging is available only in the Lariat Lux package.
But as a previous poster implied, it's not particularly useful since no Mavs support wireless Carplay or Android auto.
I have a Samsung flip with a leather case , the rubber insert grips the leather well, no sliding. And it charges reasonably fast. I have heard complaints about phones moving in the charger breaking the connection. I haven't experienced that. Maybe smooth casesWhat phones have you used it for, and what case do they have?

Correct, carplay only works when plugged in. However, you can follow some discussion of aftermarket dongles that enable wireless carplay. It may have some slight negative side effects of long initial connection, potential random disconnects, and slightly laggy audio or interface interaction but it seems to really depend since users don't report uniform experiences and different dongles may behave differently. So I guess we all just need to see some more reports of specific dongles, specific phone models, and specific SYNC3 (Lariat) vs XL/XLT slimmed down SYNC hardware/software and see what patterns we can find.So car play does not work with Bluetooth??
