Wiper blades on my 2023 XLT chatter at all settings. I cleaned blades with alcohol and condition rubber with silicone. Blades do not flip in motion. Any ideas on a fix?

I've serviced the factory blades. They are retained by plastic clips on the end and all you do after that is pull the rubber out. There is a notch in the rubber on one side but not the other, so I cut a notch to be able to put the clip back in place. The notch was only necessary on the longer drives side one. Be careful prying the clips and if you snap one of the retention pieces, just use super glue or silicone to put it back on. They only need a minimal amount of prying upwards to slide off.

But that likely won't solve the chatter.

I had it real bad on the Escape I had before the Maverick. It's the arms pushing to far on the windshield or the angle they are pushing at or something crappy like that. I bent one slightly and it still didn't solve it. But that method did work on a previous F150 that had a small amount of chatter. Unfortunately, nothing solved the chatter on the Escape.

Don't use alcohol either. It breaks down the rubber. You need to use a silicone based lubricant like Blaster Silicone. Try this first. Then try flipping the rubber. If that fails, try new wipers, if that fails, go a step further and try bending the arms to change the angle (make sure to wrap the arms in something protective before you apply pressure with whatever tool you use to bend them to avoid stripping the powder coating), if that fails buy new arms. It's a process and it's the same for everything. Don't just go throwing money at new parts until you diagnose everything.

Here are the part numbers for factory replacement blades:
WW2249
WW2054
That's for the 22" driver and 21" passenger.

I don't have the part numbers for the arms on hand but I will check later or you can just call the parts/services at your local dealer and get them.

And obviously, clean the windshield. Wash bay, soap brush, when it's still wet use a clay bar then soap brush again and rinse off. That should help dislodge debris that could be stuck in the small pores of the glass.

Normally I go for Bosch Icon blades, but the factory ones on mine have been amazing. I just ordered another set to keep under the rear seat just in case or for when it's time to replace, but since I serviced them by flipping them, that shouldn't be for a long time. I'll keep flipping until they run dry.

You can also use that silicone based lubricant for the door seals to make them last longer. Also helps avoid the freezing issues from moisture during winter. ;)

Changed out my blades to silicone and used Rain X. No chatter. Almost don't need the wipers with the Rain X.
I've used RainX on my windshield for decades and it works great. Last year I saw they make car wash soap and it also helps maintain the wax then recently I found out they now make their own blades as well. They too work well.

I mentioned the wiper blade chatter to the dealership. I was told to bring in my truck since it’s under warranty. Also, the wiper blades don’t flip when they return to the first position.

Was does it mean "blades don't flip"?
Also did you take truck to dealership for the blade issue? If so what was the result.
I may ask the dealer will they fix issue if you got some success.
thank you for any response.

Mine from the factory chattered, I just replaced them and that went away. I also second just using rain x as much as possible. It light/mod rain I never even have to turn them on.

You gave a lot of nice suggestions. What actually stopped the chattering?

I bought the Michelin ones from Costco. Clean the windshield really good before you install the new ones, apply some Rain-X and that should make it go away. It did for me at least.

Thank you for response.
Does the Michelin ones have a push button release as the motor craft does?
Went to walmart cite and saw different types of michelin model names.
Which type did you get? Since yours worked for you I would like the same.
