Consider wash wipe immediately after bug hits windshield, at least the big ones before they dry. RainX (premium is worth it) helps keep chatter down and if done on fresh bug juice may only require two or three quick sprays. Of course manually clean any residual bug at end of day. Someone posted a DIY windshield formula that cost next to zero. Had distilled water, Little bit of DAWN soap plus other stuff I forget.
