It really sucks that you can’t have the windows down if you’re going over 25mph as the sound and the un aerodynamics make it annoying AF! How did Ford not catch this??? Is there anything that can be done to mitigate such poor design?

Drumming sound with the windows open is terrible. It's the same on my wife's 2016 escape and it was on my Buick Encore unless I had the sunroof open to the vent position.
Good luck. Take care.

You have to slightly lower the driver rear and/or passenger rear window to alleviate the wind buffeting when you have the driver window down. Experiment with it and and you should find an acceptable configuration.

I open my sliding rear window but opening the back door windows should also work if you don’t have that.

Yeah - crack another window.

The sliding rear window trick worked on my Sport Trac.
Opening the rear door windows on the truck does not work.
I have tried ALL combinations of Windows Up and Down to no avail. Some of us just want some fresh air ventilation without having our eardrums assaulted. Alas, I think fresh air ventilation without being buffeted is only going to be achieved with either a sunroof or sliding rear window. A powered sliding rear window like the sport trac would be excellent.
Good luck

I noticed the same thing. I'm a big fan of rolling windows down, a consequence of driving a car with no/weak AC for a decade.

Also on nice days I just like to have them down too. If you lower them to about 3/4 position it's not that bad.

Its called a TRUCK, not a Rolls Royce, and has the aerodynamics of a brick.
I’ve been driving trucks all my life starting w a 1960 F 100,3 on the tree and have never had this issue before. Your condescending reply smacks of misogyny

I guess you're a bit older than I am. My first F100 was new in 1972. The Maverick is an awful lot more quiet than the F100 or any other truck that I've ever owned, and more quiet than quite a few cars as well.

Do the window vent visors help with the wind noise?

I installed in channel deflectors and they helped a bit with this. My primary reason was to be able to crack all four windows so I'm not getting into a 140F truck in the summer though. Lol
