I need these, my 23 XLT doesn't have them installed. They should have been installed on all trims, but $30 per side may be doable . My question would be can they be installed easily, or do they require a dealer to slap them in?
Interesting - just confirmed they are inserted in my 24MY XLT Hybrid.

I think they need to be higher as there is a gap at the top though. A cutout for hood hinge bolt attach area - could have just been squeezed in though.

Interesting. I just returned from a 1,500-mile road trip with my '24 Ecoboost XLT FX4 4K. The wind noise is, in my opinion, excessive. Just checked and noticed my vehicle does not have them installed on either side. I'm wondering if this is intentional or if they're simply missing. Having spent my career working for and with the OEMs, it wouldn't surprise me if the omission is part of a cost-saving initiative.

May be a hybrid vs EB difference. Because I don't think they are for a wind-noise improvement.

With has many dealer visits hybrid drivers went to, costing the dealer money checking on noises that are correct for hybrids but new to some drivers - perhaps Ford decided to include them on at least the XLT's.

At least they can be bought and inserted rather painfree.
Or a post somewhere showed pool noodles used - that's probably better priced option to see if it improves wind noise.

Just found this thread as I have been hearing a strange noise which seems to be coming from the drivers side front end when I am accelerating. I have a MY25 XLT AWD Hybrid that I got in April. The noise sounds almost like a flapping or fluttering sound when accelerating and I can hear it when up to speed but less so. Anyway I took a look at my Hybrid does have both of these foam inserts but the drivers side one appears to be attached at the bottom but from about mid way up is just slumping forward towards the front end. I'm thinking this is probably the noise I'm hearing when getting up to speed as air is coming in and making the flapping or fluttering noise.

I know I saw another thread or two over the weekend that had pictures of these foam inserts and I think talked about installing them, etc. I'll have to see if I can find those other threads. I'm a little unsure how to get this back into place as I really don't want to take the wheel off and the fender liner. Making I can grab it with something and get it back into place but I'm not sure as it's really leaning forward and would be quite a reach to grab it in such a small place. Not to mention I'm not even sure how to attach it into place?

If it is pulled up higher (probably not attached at bottom, just stuck there), it wedges over the hood/panel attachment point and is squeezed tighter.

Long coat hanger bent for a hook on end will grab it for you.
Just has to be pulled back/up close enough to inside hood access area to grab it.

Yes a coat hanger might just do the trick. I'll have to take a closer look at it be at first glance it looked like it was attached at the bottom but that might not be the case. Whatever the case may be hopefully I can grab it and get it seated properly and fingers crossed it fixes my strange noise issue:)

I just had my cracked XLT windshield replaced with the Lariat standard acoustic laminate windshield. I have a 56 mile commute home this evening. I will report back with my observations,

RE: Fender insulation = my Lariat has them. As stated, lesser trims don't. When I installed my side marker lights I had to push the insulation aside with a thin paint stir stick to get to the wiring. I forgot to push the insulation back. Big noise difference.

I believe you can DIY the insulation. Having no relevant experience to share, it does look like you can work it in from an open driver's and passenger door. It locates directly behind the [fake] side vent emblem. The insualtion is wrapped in thin plastic so be careful as you push it in. Install so it goes up high in the space - that is where my noise came from.

My guess is the foam is installed at the factory after the fender is on. Just a guess.

Unrelated: A couple of times a year I put silicone rubber lube from a tube, similar in consistency to petroleum jelly, on all my door gaskets. This takes out any rubbing sounds between the rubber and the door frame. I also put it on the rubber gasket near the firewall in the engine compartment.

FYI - My other vehicles have a foam block molded to the contour of the fender. Even my 21 year old PT Cruiser has this.
Thanks to your "unrelated" comments, I decided that applying silicone lube to the Maverick's gaskets is a worthwhile task. I went ahead and ordered a couple of tubes. Appreciate the tip.

Camera focused too close maybe, but pic shows you pull it on backside of braces so it can't flop over, and other pic shows I already got another gap at top so I give up on that part.

There is actually a foam block that goes up high in the fender well. The long black pad is contoured to touch at the bottom. You can find the exploded view and foam block part number on parts.ford by searching the term "insulator" for the Maverick. It is just synthetic cotton block. I ended up using a cube of acoustic foam and used the Ford part elsewhere in the dashboard.

I had this issue and was not willing to consider having Ford start ripping in to my new truck.

I used weather strip of various types and sizes all over the interior, around the windshield/dash gap, and windows and doors front and rear. It's about 95% less noisy than it was before.
Any chance you share where exactly you put the stripping?
