The Maverick looks like a truck that many governmental agencies as well as commercial fleet owners will be interested. I understand that fleet ordering is still open to those qualified. Does anyone know if governmental or other fleet purchases will interfere or take priority over public or retail orders?

I don't know the answer to your question, but government/commercial purchases could possibly affect availability.

I expect NAPA, AutoZone, Advance and O'Reilly to purchase or lease thousands of Mavericks. Maybe Orkin and utility locators as well.

My local NAPA store ordered 4 just for their small town store. Now apply that to the entire U.S.
I would imagine money hungry Ford will throw us under the bus and deliver to the Gov and Corps ordering in high quantity, purely a guess/assumption

I've only seen one other Maverick in my area and I have a suspicion it belonged to someone affiliated with Sanitation. Showed up alongside two other sanitation trucks, stuck around while they did, and disappeared when they did. Other than that haven't seen any in the wild or at the dealer.

I worked part time years ago delivering for a florist. Other than Easter and Mothers Day weekends, the Maverick would be fine with a cap that opens from the side. Could also see courier services that deliver legal and other documents.

I'ma play devils advocate. This isn't a single or a few multiple organizations making a few massive orders, although I suppose if corporate Amazon or the state of Texas got involved it might be..... but more likely smaller orgs with orders in single or low double digits.

Does Ford sell the cheap units with low profit for volume? (I have suggested in multiple threads that will be the strategy when the supply chain gets cleared. ) Or does Ford cherry pick the more profitable vehicles?

We shall see. Right now there really is no certainty in anything.

You mentioned the State of Texas. Some states have statewide contracts for many items including vehicles. Any state or local government agency can buy off that contract. That could mean thousands of Mavericks for some states. Texas alone, could buy many thousands in the next few years. I know the federal government had a huge fleet of Ford Rangers.

And you're right, it's anybody's guess.
