Will Full size spare tire fit under truck?

I did not order my truck with spare tire and I was thinking about buying a 'take off' XL steelie as spare tire. Has anyone added this? Also, will I be able too? i'm assuming there is just a hole for the tire there?

You hook the handle included with the jack between the tailgate and the bumper, and slowly undo it. The cable drops down and then you undo the tire from under the truck.

I have an XLT with the lux pkg, which has a full sized spare tire.

You have a spare tire, just not a full-sized one. The base equipment group features it -

Looks like all Mavericks come with two different spare tires:

1. a space saver spare tire, donut, or temporary tire, size T155/70D17
2. If you purchase a hybrid or pay extra for a so called "Full Size Spare" surprise, the size is 215/60R17 . This is not the same as the OEM tire/rim on any Maverick.

Please note, the spare does not have a Ford OEM TPMS factory sensor.
