The 2023 Maverick Order Bank closed 9-21-22 to Customer(Retail) orders!
However, Dealers can still enter 2023 Maverick(Stock) orders in order to have stock to sell on their lots.
Will this encourage YOUR dealer to sell at, or closer to, MSRP for the Mavericks that hit his lot?

Second question: Can anyone tell me when the Maverick Order Bank closes for Dealers?

With the additional end-of-month allocations now depending on sales velocity, yes this should theoretically push stock units closer to MSRP, and in some cases, lower than MSRP. This new part of the allocation model is intended to give dealers more vehicle allocations for turning inventory quickly. For the Maverick specifically, those potential stock units may still sell quickly above MSRP until supply meets demand, which I wouldn't expect to happen anytime soon.

But F150s for example, those are already starting to come down. Looking at Granger Fords inventory, they have quite a few F150s on the lot that you can purchase right now for thousands below MSRP. If Granger wants to increase their sales velocity and get more F150 allocations, they'd need to keep lowering the price to get those units sold quicker. Just an example of course. Seeing how many F150s they have in dealer stock, I doubt they need any additional F150 allocations at this time.

As for the dealer stock order bank, that likely will stay open so long as build weeks are being scheduled. I know dealer stock order banks for 2022Y stayed open through the entire year, although no dealers were awarded stock inventory that I was aware of (could you imagine), but their order banks for stock units technically stayed open.

The only think that will push stock units down to MSRP is wide availability. Given product demand and the lack of competition, I doubt that will happen for many years.

Nope. So long as demand outstrips supply, dealers will gravitate towards doing ridiculous markups on Mavericks and people who can't wait or be bothered to deal with the ordering process will be happy to pay the markups to get their Mavericks now.

Yeah, I guess that first question will always be answered based on one's "glass half full / half empty" philosophy!
I'm also Glass half empty, but my fingers and toes are crossed!

Thanks for the 2022MY perspective, I was unaware of that!
I was also thinking that the dealer order bank would stay open till the end if Ford still had the capacity.
This sloppy wet kiss for dealers may be a good thing!

One complication now is the huge disparity between Hybrid and EB availability. It looks to me like dealers will be selling their EB's at MSRP, long before they do so with the hybrids!
It will be fun to watch.
I'd like to see someone make a dealer msrp tracker to follow dealers' markups over time, though I doubt that is even possible.

Anyone take a peek at their resale value for a 2022 Maverick Hybrid... 🤪 😳😜 5k miles on my lil rig and I would come out close to 10K over my MSRP.......thats nuts. Of course I have no intention of selling it.
