I ordered a Maverick XL in September 2023....it got manufactured in Feb 2024....shipped Feb 2024....arrival...soon....
my question is...there is a MSRP price on the order form.......it seems the current MSRP is higher.... so will thge price change? or will I pay the price as ordered? (this is my first Ford, so I don't know the Ford System)

Same thing happened every model year so far.. Your orders MSRP should "locked in" at the time of the order and will be shown on the DORA - you should have received a copy of the signed DORA when the order was submitted.
You'll probably have to remind the dealer what MSRP was at the time of order when it comes time to finalize the deal.
Long story made short.. you shouldn't be asked to pay any price increases made AFTER your order date.

That is what I am hoping for.... the order price being the actual sale price...thanks.

Keep in mind that the window sticker will have the most current, AKA higher MSRP on it. Mine did when I went to pick up my '23 and I politely reminded the salesman that my price was locked in at time of order, this was and I believe still is FORD'S policy, my final paperwork reflected the corrected price.

I had to do the same then after the 9 month wait on my 23 order. Dealer paperwork had sticker, I had to show them the order paperwork and they took the $400 increase off without issue. Make sure to verify and request the adjustment if it is higher, I'm sure they'd be happy to let you pay current sticker otherwise.

If you got a copy of the Priced Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement (DORA) and if your dealer agreed to sell you your truck at this price upon delivery, you may only be charged the Priced DORA amount, even if the MSRP increased between order time & delivery time.

However, once the dealer buys the truck from Ford and resells it to you, they can charge whatever they want to charge. They will get price protection from Ford, but are not legally obligated to pass along that price protection to the retail buyer. Many dealers pocket it.

Here is how price protection works.
