The only email I ever received from Ford was the confirmation of my order. Like others I never received the email months ago regarding
possibly removing options from my order of constrained options nor did I receive the email regarding August 2nd. I called Ford a few times and they verified
my email address and my salesman had no idea. Yesterday I insisted my dealership look into the matter. After my dealership talked with
Ford they admitted they made an error when the originally submitted my order. Apparently, the submission process is quite involved and although my email address was linked to one department at Ford (the department that actually makes and schedules the cars) it was not linked to other departments such as marketing and communications. The dealership insists that this cannot be corrected after the order has been submitted. (I'm not sure I believe that) The dealership says they can correct this on August 2nd.

Late last year a Ford rep on the phone confided that about 40% of customers with approved orders do not receive any e-mails aside from the initial confirmation of reservation.

I remain skeptical the number on the receiving end of silence is quite that high but it, anecdotally anyway, would seem to be solidly in double digits.

The only email I received was the initial verification of my order, Oct 2021, and none since. I have called Ford numerous times and they say my correct email is in their system, yet none sent my way. I did find out through one of my calls, since I did not get the June 29th email, I called the following week and found out my Maverick is scheduled, I have a VIN! I just wish Ford would keep me up to date?

I experienced a similar scenario.....got the initial order confirmation but nothing else like the one about removing certain options. Then I got the two recently about august 2nd and the promise to contact me every 45 days....seems random.

I am in the same boat. I’ve never received any emails from ford, not even a confirmation email. Customer service assured me it is in the system. My guess is I unsubscribed years ago with the same email when I bought a previous ford. My email may have ended up on some sort of spam list on their end. I’ve tried everything on my end with no success. When/If I reorder, I will give a different email. Hopefully our private offer will be in the system since I heard they usually send them by email. It sucks being truly in the dark all this time, especially since my dealership has never called me this whole time.

The dealer has to enter your email address into WBDO in order for you to get those updates. Dealer also has to list your email address into ROVP to get the retail order approved. It is mandatory to list the customer email address in ROVP, but not in WBDO.

Adding the customer email address into WBDO when submitting a retail order is a new thing, than can easily be overlooked by the dealership. And it is optional, so they may have forgotten.

Or, it is possible that the dealership entered it in there....and it wasn't captured by the right dept @ Ford.

I have received all the emails from Ford, including the ones telling me the build week was pushed back, and the ones saying delivery is delayed further while the truck sits in the railyard. šŸ™‚

Yeah - I have nothing from Ford. Doesn't matter, I can't get my order unless I want to remove options. So much for "Your Ford, Your Way". Life is a bummer and Ford made it worse.

Considering that the web tracking page only works for me about 1% of the time, I'm not surprised that Ford's email system for sending notifications to customers is unreliable. Could possible be a compatibility problem between Ford's email system and yours.

For years, Bank of America kept calling me to tell me that email notifications to my personal email address, hosted on a GoDaddy server, were bouncing back. Hundreds of other senders had no problems. Of course BOA IT folks insisted it was a GoDaddy problem. Some email systems are robust, some aren't.

Time to call a spade a spade: ford customer service is a fluster cuck! Worst company I’ve ever dealt with in 50+ years. I’ve purchased seven Fords over the years. IF the Maverick I ordered is ever delivered, it will be the last. Honda, Toyota, Hyundai and Volvo are light years ahead of ford ☠
