For those of us waiting for our Mavericks, why not look at the wait as a blessing instead of bitching about it??? Any issues that exist now should hopefully be resolved by Ford when your truck is built and you'll get a hassle free vehicle to enjoy.

Happy Holidays, have a Marvelous New Year.

That is the only solace I am getting by waiting! I hope we have a bug free truck by the time we get ours. Oh BTW 6/19 order.

I'm using my time to save up some more money to increase my down payment, lowering my monthly bill. Yes, I'm boring.. lol

When I ordered, my dealer told me I'd see my Maverick sometime this fall. I laughed and said "maybe fall 2022", because I'm familiar with how difficult it is to scale a new production line - even when it's just a different model on an existing line. Also I was aware of the massive materials and components shortages and transport issues facing the whole industry - the SAAR is way down everywhere because of those. So I'm not complaining mainly because my expectations were realistic from day one.

Oh, and it could be worse. You could have ordered a Tesla CyberTruck or a Roadster. Those poor devils have at least another year.

I agree with the sentiment (not sure if it needed a post =).

That being said - it's like the Dad that loads the van up and tries to head for the beach vacation the same Saturday morning as everyone else and inevitably gets stuck in traffic and then starts getting upset at everything and everyone for being stuck in traffic they knew they were going to get stuck in.

You ordered a vehicle during a pandemic causing worldwide supply chain issues. You ordered an insanely popular vehicle in its first year of production. The dealership likely told you 3-5 months.

You aren't going to beat the estimate in most cases and you can't get upset at Ford for getting in llne for something you knew about on the front end.

When we ordered out on 7/9 we knew it would be a bit. Hoping for a December delivery, but still haven't even gotten a build date. Frustrating, but it's the current climate and you have to deal with it.

I didn't start getting upset until orders from August/September/October with my same options started getting built and shipped before my July order was given a build date.

You also have to remember that everyone has a different agenda. I am expecting a baby soon, and was hoping to have this vehicle in time so that my wife wouldn't have to use my lifted 4-door F-150. Our only other vehicle is a tiny 2010 Ranger. Other people have their reasons too, although, some are certainly more reasonable than others.

Amazon has ruined the world. Most people think they just go on line and with a few clicks their order will be delivered in 48 hours or less. When confronted with reality of waiting for custom manufactured goods instead of merely shipped from a nearby giant warehouse full of stock- it turns their world upside down and they complain... and complain... and complain some more about the company making the product they are after and refer to difficulties as "excuses" that are unacceptable for big companies that should have known and planned better! 🙃

The biggest problem I have seen from the complainers is envy and self-related issues on one side and ignorance of the process on the other. These are somehow suppose to trump reality and Ford is responsibly for their personal problems and solving them. Then on top of that, they want Ford to 'communicate' with them on every little issue on the budget car they ordered. All the worry and angst doesn't change a thing, not even a delivery date
