Who is Granger?

Granger was the only vehicle I have bought from a dealer where the whole transaction was transparent and I didn't feel pressured or stressed. If they just would have pitched the extended warranty ahead of time so I could have researched it, I probably would have bought that too knowing it's actually a good deal, but I said no reflexively based on every other dealer experience /w ridiculous add-ons I didn't want.

You can purchase it from them anytime preferably before the 3/36 OEM expires.

LOL! Go to your local dealer and see if they will beat or match 3% under invoice and $180 doc fee.

Very much to my surprise, mine did do just that yesterday!

How do you get on the x plan without being a Ford employee?

Also, when I mentioned the MCA discount at my mustang club, someone pointed out that we had multiple retired ford employees who could sponsor a couple of X a year!

As other have said they are fair priced. I was able to buy mine for the same otd cost at my local dealer plus my dealer tossed in a free 10-100k power train warranty.
At that time some dealers had crazy mark ups.

Not much. $600-900 based on the trim but it limits doc fee, removes negotiation, and streamlines the purchase process.

Back when I was selling new Fords the X plans were exclusively for corporate employees and their retirees.

IIRC there was a limit to the # of vehicles one person could buy per calendar year.

The deal was net/net... dealer invoice minus the 3% dealer holdback $$$ that was paid back to the dealer every 90 days.

The dealer got a flat fee for handling delivery and setup.

There were few dealers scamming people with doc fees...around here if you wanted a doc fee people walked out.

Bottom line...if you bought an F150 SC, 4x4, XLT...527A pkg you saved about $3,000 on a $25k truck.

Things have changed.

FWIW, here are the numbers from 1 of my previous Mavericks.

A-Plan is for current Ford employees & immediate family members.

Z-Plan is for Ford Retiree's and their immediate family members

D-Plan is for Ford DEALERSHIP employees

X-Plan is also refereed to as the Friends and Neighbors program.
